Sutton Park is a fantastic place in the Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield near Birmingham. Historically it was a hunting ground for Henry VIII but now it's more a place for children, families and adults alike to engage in outdoor activities. You can do many things in the park from grabbing a bite in the cafe, exploring the forest, to visiting the donkey sanctuary or fishing; there's something here for everyone.

Massive park with quite a few different entrances. My kids love the Sutton gate tho as it has a large playground, is near the streams and has close access to the donkey sanctuary. Banners gate also has a good kids playground but charges apply at the weekend to park. Great place to take kids.on their bikes and scooters

A very good place to walk or ride. It is the biggest public park in Western Europe and has open grassed areas, extensive woods and 7 lakes. There is lots of parking, but you cannot drive across the Park. This is to stop idiot boy racers who caused damage. There Are two restaurants on it's edges, and one inside the park, plus two Cafe's in the park. It is very beautiful. Car entrance charge on Sundays only, free all other days.

A huge , beautiful park that you can truly get lost in. A number of gates to this vast park offer different experiences. My favourite with the kids is banners gate as it offers the best of both worlds in that it has a small play area with a good selection of slides, swings etc for the kids plus a snack hut with WC that provides fresh coffee snacks and ice cream. All this with the benefit of it being located a nice stroll away from a lake to feed the duckies and swans ! Lovely day out .

Lots to do with little ones. Walks in the wood. Feeding the ducks. Playing on scooters. A play ground. Places to eat. The place is huge so the only problem is deciding what to and where to start. For a simple family day it's a lovely park.
