I love this gym. The members here are typically friendly. The PT's are top drawer. Professional, friendly, helpful and encouraging. There is a ton of space and equipment, and there are two squat racks! The only things I would change are the TRX area, could easily be changed to a rig, similar to the one in PureGym Wolverhampton South. And the company that insists you pay to park 24 hours a day are con artists and they regularly have the machine inside the gym the subsidised one broken, so you have to pay full price, which then pushed the price of payment up, and if you're going to have to pay an extra £10 - £30 a month on parking depending on what time you go The Tesco across the road is free after 6pm then you may as well get membership at a fancy gym with spa facilities. This isn't a knock on the actual gym though, so it still gets 5 stars.
Walked 3 miles to use the gym this morning. On arrival a sign on the entrance said that the ladies' changing rooms were closed. No problem, I thought, no mention of the mens' being out of use. Scanned the code, went in and... gents changing rooms closed too due to a flood. The showers at this place seem to be an ongoing problem. In the mens' changing room there's usually at least 2 showers that are out of service awaiting repair. Those that do work usually only dispense mildly tepid water - I've never experienced a hot shower at this place. Clearly the owners are saving money by keeping the thermostat down low. Anyway, today was a waste of time as I couldn't get changed and, even if I could, I couldn't have showered after my workout, which is pretty pointless. So, after being in the gym for 5 minutes and unable to find any management apart from a bloke who was reparing the floor, I scanned out and walked 3 miles home. If you want a bargain-basement gym experience join here. If you need a changing room and working showers look elsewhere.
Nice non intervening atmosphere unlike Cape Hill branch where extremely LOUD noise pollution is forced on people. Music which most people dont even class as music, just loud noise.
it's a typical puregym... no atmosphere, busy all the time etc. parking not free and is a pain in the neck
