We have stayed in these apartments a few times, merely for the convenience of the locality of King's Cross Station being so close by. The apartments are clean with all the basics required, they are however all on the very small side. I would also say that they are very tired inside and in bed or renovation/redecoration, the photos on the website are not a true reflection of the rooms owing to this. Rooms are basic but well equipped, this room was a room around the back with balcony, so was one of the better sized rooms, where possible choose a larger room when booking. The smaller rooms can be VERY small, and the bathrooms you can barely turn around in them as they are like a cupboard for size. There is a laundry room in the basement should you need to wash, dry or iron clothing as this facility is not available in the rooms, nor is the iron. The photos shown are of one of the what I would call 'better' rooms. Our last visit just a few weeks ago was of a budget room situated to the front of the building, it was pleasant but TINY, this was offered after initially being given the keys for a very small basement apartment next door to the pub, it was so tiny it felt claustrophobic, we complained and was given a slightly brighter room at the front of the building. You can leave luggage with them in their reception area prior to check in and after check out. We did find most of the staff in reception each time we have visited, a little on the rude side and uninterested. Whilst awaiting check in, a female at reception was very abrupt and moaning to a client in front of us that she was on her own and very busy. Maybe more staff would help, but they were all outside the front door having a smoking break. After a few stays in these apartments and the overall experience and value, we have decided we will not return to them. Rooms: Rooms are very small and bathrooms are like stepping into a cupboard.
Spaces2Let offers comfortable and well-equipped studio accommodations in a fantastic location near Kings Cross and St. Pancras stations. I found the room to be clean, modern, and surprisingly spacious, with a kitchenette that had everything I needed for a short stay. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the extra touches like the full-length mirror and hairdryer. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. They let us check our bags several hours before check-in. However, it's worth noting that the shower was a bit cramped, and the water pressure could be improved. Also, the lack of outlets near the bed was a minor inconvenience. Overall, I would highly recommend Spaces2Let for solo travelers or couples looking for a convenient and affordable base in London. The excellent location, comfortable accommodations, and friendly staff make it a great value for the price.
I recently stayed at Studios2let near King's Cross station for four nights. Overall, the location is excellent and the area feels safe, even at night, which is a significant plus for any traveler. The room, however, was smaller than the pictures suggested. The wash basin is awkwardly positioned in the corner with a cabinet above it, making it difficult to wash dishes and food. The toilet and bathroom are extremely small. At approximately 5'8" and 145 lbs, I found the standing bath quite cramped. Having traveled to Japan frequently, I always thought Japanese hotel rooms could be very small, but it seems London accommodations can be quite compact as well. Being on the second floor, I had to carry my heavy luggage up the stairs, which was a bit inconvenient. Additionally, there are restrictions on the use of rubbish bags and toilet paper. You need to request more from the staff when you run out, which can be somewhat bothersome. On a positive note, there is a lovely garden between the ground floor and the first floor. This area allows guests to gather and socialize, which is a nice touch, especially for longer stays. The staff were also nice. Overall, while the location and staff were excellent, the small room size and certain inconveniences such as carrying luggage up the stairs and needing to request basic supplies like toilet paper and rubbish bags detracted from the experience. If I could, I would rate my experience at 3.5 stars.
Be prepared for a very small room. Large luggage will be an issue. Large bodies will be an issue especially in the bathroom. It's only about 800mm wide. Other than that the room I shared was clean, even under the bed because I accidentally spilled water and had to dry under the bed...no dust! I was on the first level and loved it. The kitchen had what I needed. Bed was a little saggy but didn't worry me. Curtains held out the late summer sun. It's walking distance to lots of things to see and public transport. Plenty of food options nearby as well. Rooms: Small but well stocked. Nearby activities: King's Cross and Euston stations are very close. British Museum is not far. Canterbury markets not far. In a great area to sightsee from.
The room is probably the smallest room I’ve ever been in but that’s London for you! The shower was so small I could barely wash myself and I’m a rather fit under 6ft male. The room did have everything we needed though and did have an absolute brilliant location with trains near by and local land marks only a 45 min walk.Rooms: 2/5
You can't beat the location – right in between Kings Cross/St. Pancras and Euston underground stations. I would definitely recommend this place to travellers looking for an affordable "hotel" that's easy to get around the city from. Rooms are nice and clean, but very small. That's not necessarily bad, but keep it in mind if you plan to have more than two people stay in the same studio.
Rooms are tiny, facilities are pretty heavily worn out, and the sound isolation between rooms in the building is terrible. Once anyone on the floor above you wakes up, no earplugs could help you keep sleeping.Rooms: 3/5
Great lodging for the price compared to other prices around London. Very close to Paddington and Euston stations. It's even got a little full kitchen with fridge and freezer. Lots of local food places. Quiet safe area. The pubs are a bit rowdy but they close early enough. Nice park across the road. Tiny but effective bathroom. Bed comfortable. Has both heating and cooling. Very steep narrow stairs on upper floors.
These apartments are in a fantastic location with some beautiful spots to visit within walking distance. They are a little small but have everything you need. The only real downside is the stairs.Rooms: 4/5
I recently stayed at Studios2Let , and I was extremely disappointed. My room was on the basement floor, and the constant noise from people arriving above was unbearable. Workers were right outside my window, adding to the disturbance. The room smelled , and the TV barely worked. To make matters worse, the manager was aggressive and did not provide us with the assistance we needed. Only after much insistence did another employee finally give us another room. Definitely not the experience I was expecting.
