Lovely park with lots to do. Especially in the summer. I went to the balloon festival which was extremely busy but well organised and enjoyable.
Lovely and clean park...loads of places to play for the litre ones and it even has an outdoor gym area...
Lots of play equipment at the top of the park for older children and some smaller ones at the pond for young ones. The pond is bone dry at the moment so no boats. Mini railway still runs bringing something that bit different to the park. Gardens and grass are well maintained.
Fantastic park for all ages! Have a seat, or enjoy the gardens or the river. Why don't you have a go on the pedalos on the boating pond or even have a wee go on the oldest miniature railway in Scotland and there's bowls too! A lovely park on the heart of Strathaven. Parking and public amenities available and disabled / pram access at many entrances to the park.
Great park with lots to keep kids occupied.
Lovely park with a good range of different fenced off safe play areas for all ages. There is a boating pond, exercise area, toddler park, children's play park, miniature train open in season at weekends, and even a nice sensory area and takeaway cafe with toilets.
Very nice place to bring the kids of all ages excellent playparks well maintained park and lovely wee train pond area was empty when I visited
Great atmosphere at Strathaven Public Park for there Bonfire and fireworks display. Very safe. Great music and full of good people no issues getting in or out of the park.
Spent 3 hours here. Lots to do, 3 playparks, boating pond, grass for running around on. My grandson loved the animal wood carvings and the train, we were unlucky that he didn't get a ride on it but he was happy watching the gents working on them. Would go back again on a weekend so that my grandson could get a shot on the train.
A fantastic park with a bowling green , Putting green and a couple of Tennis courts , and the usual kids play areas, and a cafe, the best value is the " wee train " £1 for three circuits of the tack,with steam , petrol and electric engines taking passengers on the ground track . The raised track is now completed, and 3 ½ & 5 inch gauge locomotives can be seen running, during the season ,April to end Sept .
