My family and I dined here last month. Sadly, we had a very poor experience. We had reservations, but the hostess refused to seat us until the entire party arrived. However, she seated others who had individuals missing from their party, who arrived after us, some without reservations. Additionally, the hostess insisted we wait outside in the cold and didn't greet us. I picked this restaurant for my mom's birthday celebration, but no one wished her despite this being on the reservation. The food was a hit or miss, some of the pastas were delicious but mine was cold and had bland flavor. Definitely overpriced, other restaurants in the area are far better. The bright light during our evening was our server who was excellent, he took great care of us and took time to explain the menu plus wines.
Beautiful atmosphere, creative and delicious specials, an extensive wine list, and impeccable service. The swordfish was cooked perfectly. My carbonara was creamy, but very over seasoned. Get the crème brûlée! It’s everything!

Had a few issues with our experience here. My wife's pasta was the saltiest dish I've ever tried she ordered the carbonara, and while I typically prefer a more-strongly salted dish than other people, it was too much for even my tastes. The salad was a bit underwhelming, and the highlight of the night was the caprese appetizer. At +$30 for a pasta dish, I was expecting better flavor. Lastly, while some people enjoy a more detached/stoic waiting staff, my wife and I found it detracted from the experience as well. Vegetarian options: Plenty of Italian dishes which are vegetarian. Parking: Street parking in the area is $1.50/hour and can sometimes be difficult to find a spot nearby. Be prepared to walk 2-3 blocks
I long for the old days when Strada was more informal and you could watch a soccer game and have a pizza. I'll never not miss those times, but they're current business model works for them and here are my impressions. 1. The food is made to order. Higher prices are justified when you offer customers food that isn't pre-pared. The lemon chicken was zesty and somewhat generous since it included a good 8-10 ounce chicken and potatoes. 2. The ambiance is old school and old style--Zharko is after the opulence of a Tuscan cafe. It can be a tad loud, but who wants to be in a place where the sounds are silent. 3. Service was very good and professional, not overly engaged and not remote. We never felt rushed. If you're after a night on the town and a good--non heavy dinner, I I think you'll be happy.
Booked this reservation for Valentine’s Day. Horrible service as soon as I entered. Hostess pretended not to have my reservation. When I asked for the manager she claim she was the manager. She had no interest in trying to help and says they ONLY do reservations. I showed her from my phone where I made the reservation she didn’t care. My man finds the reservation on the iPad and we were marked as “seated” before we’d arrived. The waiter tried to keep my change intentionally. The hostess did not care for a black presence in their establishment. I booked reservation like everyone else. Was not apologetic for the inconvenience. Nothing at all.
I had dinner for Valentine's day the food was amazing as usually. The place was packed. Great service considering every table was taking. Great job guys. Highly recommend if you want authentic Italian food.Food: 5/5
For a supposvily high-end Italian restaurant. It was perrty bland and cold.its basically a small long hall with tables nobody greets you a waitress does eventually. We didn't even know if we came through the right door,but we were right. The appetizers were wrong, and the pasta tasted like it came out of the can the chicken was dry. Just being honest .
Fantastic Italian restaurant! The ambiance is charming, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The pasta dishes are authentic and bursting with flavor. A delightful dining experience!Food: 5/5
