Horrendous. The place is grotty. The route to the rear fire exit was at least half covered by spare chairs and highchairs, not a clear get away. We had quite a large party meeting for a family birthday so we were given the bench seat at the back. To get along the seat to the middle the tables have to be moved forward so a person can shuffle down. A pushy waiter barrled up and started pushing the tables back in saying we were encroaching on the tables near by. Because he didn't announce and explain what he was attempting, but just started pushing the tables back in, he trapped my mother in law's foot with the table in front of her. No apology. The food we ordered had ingredients missing, we conveyed this and then a pot of the aforementioned ingredient turned up looking a bit like cat food. The waiter handling our tables was at the end of his shift and didn't seem to hand over to the following staff member, she had to recap most of it. I couldn't leave quick enough. We were offered vouchers from head office but have no interest.
We went to Strada before going to the movies in Richmond on Saturday. Service was good and friendly. The food was dissapointing. My starter Polpette had was not hot cold and crumbly mascarpone and my friends Limoncello desert contained hardly any limoncello which was odd. It's a chain restaurant and the food didn't hide it at all I'm affraid. The sofa chair fabrics are a big dirty, we changed tables. The place can do with a big clean. It's a shame, the location is great and the staff was wonderful. If the food could be better, that would make a difference.
Made an reservation for the evening but decided that I would rather eat earlier… This wasn't a problem and gave us the perfect table. The staff were all friendly and served everything we needed all in good time. The food was mush better than I thought, as being half Italian I do have a gourmet taste for Italian cuisine… freshly prepared and worth the extra pennies for good quality food, can understand some may think it's a little over priced, but the difference is down to quality and not quantity… anyway, we had a great experience on Saturday 26th September 2015 and I would visit again. Thank you to all those who worked that time we were there… ;
