Absolutely brilliant, the food was really really good,freshly cooked and presented very nicely. The taste was fantastic,my wife and i both had the hen party chicken burger with onion rings accompanied with salad from the salad counter,which again was fantastic it was fresh and crisp like salad should be not warm and limp like so many other salad bars. Drinks wise my wife had a wine which she remarked how nice it was,i had a coffee as i was driving but the coffee was very nice it had a wonderful rich taste without being too strong and a lovely aroma. The pub and staff itself were wonderful, it has a very warm and welcoming feel to it,helped a little by the real log fire. The staff were very polite and helpful,a credit to the establishment. Cost wise it was fine,it wasn't expensive infact its very reasonably priced. Will we go again? Yes,yes we will and i recommend it too.

A lack of choice compared to a similar visit before it changed hands. No sweetener, no decaff coffee, even a jar of instant would have done. No scrambled eggs, those that were available like rubber, bacon and sausage like cardboard, and don't get me started on the toast machine, it was set too high so if you needed a charcoal fix that would suffice. The 2 stars are for the pleasant lady who served us. In fact 5 would be right but that would give a totally false impression overall. We regularly go past it and did comment between ourselves that the number of cars in the car park weren't as many as before. Needless to say we won't be going back again for breakfast or any other type of meal!

Always call here for breakfast if I'm near by. Food is generally good quality and staff are always nearby to help with anything you may need. Would recommend for breakfast, fryup, but cannot comment on other food served here

Only ever been here once before as its a 25 min drive from home but man the carvery is definitely worth it. Not as much variety as other places but sure makes up for it in the taste
