Dont trust on automated callback system as it is misleading. I called and left my number for callback which says I will not lose my place in the queue but no one called back and after 90 mins I called back myself and was put through receptionist Helen who thinks apparently this is the callback, well clearly no, its me calling again. More importantly Helen receptionist felt qualified enough to make a clinical determination regarding my pain management and the necessity of a doctors review same day.
Had a shocking experience here. I was experiencing continued foot pain a year after spraining my ankle. I saw the MSK Practitioner Tracy Parry and asked to be referred as I was convinced that I had some kind of acute injury that hadn't been discovered. She refused to refer me. 8 months later it was discovered I had an undiagnosed fracture all along. To make matters worse, the practice manager Lauren Leckie simply abandoned my complaint to the surgery and failed to get back to me after promising she would. I have now been sent a letter by her deputy completely whitewashing the entire incident. I will be going to the PHSO as I think this is very serious. Walking on a broken foot for 20 months isn't fun.
On the 6/10/25 I attended a meds review with the patient, as I’m sole carer and help to explain and literate for her due to her disabilities. The dr was absolutely fantastic!! He was fair and explained things extensively well as to why a more suitable medication would be better. He took on board her fear of being left in serious pain sci and explained to myself how the combination he was giving was better than the current pain meds. This allowed me to then go through it all with the patient once home she has memory issues and patient is happy with how she was spoken too, the empathy that was shown and also how the dr explained things, not only to the penitent but also to myself. He was firm but fair and has given the patient some confidence in any future visits that may be needed.
I am new to the practice and cannot fault them. I always manage to get an appointment, the drs and reception team are all polite, respectful and professional and I also use the monthly online repeat prescriptions service with no issues.
The Diabetes Team have been incredibly Supportive.nThere is a bit of confusion for me over Stonehill and the District Nurses.nAlso, they need more Mental Health Practioners.
