Review 20th May 2022 The Stocks Inn On holiday in Dorset we have passed this Inn many times in the past but for the first time we and two friends booked a table at the restaurant; we were not disappointed. The ambiance was special a delightful warren of ancient spaces. The food was excellent and the young lady, Hari gave us friendly fantastic service. The selection of dishes on offer was great, I had a tasty curry. Overall a fabulous visit and I feel sure that we will return when in Dorset again. Thank you Hari.
We had the best time here! It was the first time we had been out in over a year and it lived up to the occasion! There was a great atmosphere, the staff were all amazing and the food was delicious. One of the best country pubs we’ve ever been to. Thanks for a great night!
Spontaneous Friday evening visit for a beer and a meal, happy to find a Morris group also there for the evening it was the weekend of the local folk festival. Good beer, good food, good location and good weather.
I was extremely disappointed. I was with three other people they said there my meals were nice. Mine was awful I had vegetable curry. Full of peppers onions a large mushroom and broccoli in a watery sauce. Needed something such as carrot parsnip or aubergine.
Check your bill carefully. Realised when we got home that we'd been double-charged for dessert. Generous portions, not so generous on the billing! **To their credit, the stocks followed up and refunded the over-charged amount. A genuine error. Thanks so much for taking the time and showing care towards the customer.**
Superb service, fantastic food. Every member of staff was wonderfully welcoming, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Meals beautifully cooked and presented. Banoffee Pie was to die for !!! My first visit and I highly recommend.
Very nice outside seating area at this restaurant, easy drive to get there and lots of quality parking. Inside was kind of vintage and old styled but very nice. Service and staff were amazing and very kind! Bar also looked very cosy for the locals! Would defo go back for drinks. Only recommendation is add some sauce to the burger!! Or an option!! Ideally some burger sauce but Mayo or ketchup works great! Patty was a very decent size and cheese was delicious - think it was sourced locally. Onion rings were also amazing!!
I can see why so many people love earing here! Really good pub grub! Love how you do two portion sizes, so I was able to enjoy the delicious bread and butter pudding. Really lovely coffee as an extra bonus! We shall certainly come soon.
Went for a family birthday. The food was amazing and the prices were great. Can't fault the attentive staff. Made to feel welcome and will be visiting again
A good selection on the menu and we really enjoyed the meal which tasted fresh and homemade. Service was superb and really made to feel welcome. Will definitely be booking again. Thank you.
