I had the Pork Belly tonight, and being diabetic I asked if I could have a salad with it instead of the potatoes and the staff were happy to do it. The meat was superb and the salad was great, and I can't praise the chef enough. The only downside is the serving staff and waitresses, who are not the best but pleasant natured. I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and and the overall experience.
We have eaten here many times since it's opening and have never been disappointed. The food is excellent!!! I would highly recommend for Sunday lunch and dinner. Not too much choice on the lunch menu at the moment but still is extremely tasty. We have now become regulars and will carry on being so. I want to add that when it first opened there was beef cheeks with beautiful creamy horseradish and mash which now isn't on the menu. Please make this a main.....it's soooo tasty!
Had the set menu. Small Greek salad to start, which was nice. I have visited this restaurant twice previously and on both occasions the fish had been served with the same froth/sauce. I had the crab and squid linguine, again with the sauce and very bland, tasteless squid. The pudding was odd. Bananas on french toast with a drizzle of caramel and ice cream. It was just a little odd tasting bananas on toast. My mum said It was very much like what her grandmother used to give her as a child, as they didn't have a lot of money. A simple and cheap sweet, I suppose. £18.50 is a good price for 3 courses, if they had all been enjoyable but overall it was disappointing. I won't do the set menu here again and will go for a two courses on main menu...giving the fish and it's frothy sauce a mis.
Recently visited this Bristro to celebrate my birthday with our family. A number of friends had recommended this establishment to us and I must say the food and service was excellent. Will definitely make a return visit sooner rather than later. Thank you all for making it a night to remember.
Easily the best place in Sidcup and surrounding areas to eat..... The roast beef on Sundays rump cap is better than the vast majority of London's I coning Sunday roast venues. Service can be a bit hit and miss though.
Excellent lunchtime meal for our large family birthday party, age range 5 to 88years! Brilliant service, great menu, the food was amazing, clean plates from everyone! We'll be back!
I've followed Matthew as a chef from his previous restaurant. He cooks the most amazing food, there are dishes I 'd never have thought of eating until I met Matthew. A very warm welcome is guaranteed and a good attentive service. This is a chef to watch..
upon arrival i could smell both fish and steak cooking, both my favourite. my wife and i sat at the bar and meet Jane the Boss, whom was very chatty and made a great hostess, when shown our table by very attentive waiting staff, the menu was varied but a bit overpriced, the starters were excellent but after being VERY SPECIFIC with how to cook my Steak, medium to well done, same colour all the way thru it turned up rare to medium when cut thru the whole width, i bought this to the waitress attention who returned it to the kitchen to which they then cremated the outside of my steak and returned it to the table, after this we sat at the bar expecting some feedback from the Boss, but she was more interested in the chef!!! well we will return and try the fish, and see what happens!!! regards Mitch
Fabulous place, truly magnificent, comfortable relaxed lovely atmosphere, great that the kitchen is open and chef in whites! Food is just out of this world, one of my favourite places. Must go!
The food was to a very high standard and the presentation first class. The atmosphere very welcoming and the staff very attentive. I will be recommending all my friends
