Story

Owned by three generations of the Mc Hugh family this award winning pub is steeped in history. For more than a hundred and sixty years, we’ve been the much loved local of everyone in the neighbourhood. From members of the three emergency services (off-duty of course) and shoppers to opera singers and orchestra members all help to make this bar a cosmopolitan mix.

With something for everyone, why not pop in for a chat.

We always stop here when travelling from Shetland, for a lunch. It's good cheap family friendly. Food is lovely and you get alot for your money. Really cheap. Definitely recommend And staff are super friendly.Food: 5/5
The bar looks rough from the outside but inside it is clean and very welcoming. The staff are pleasant and it has the full range of beers and spirits to be expected in a pub. It has a back area with a juke box also so you can play music if you wish. I would recommend you try it out and see what you think!
Lovely Pub, lovely warm welcome from all the staff especially a blonde lady and nice regulars enjoying drinks and food. Food looked great and all empty plates when people finished. So will need to nip in next time for some food. Great prices and lots of drink options to choose.
A great pub in the city of Glasgow. Fantastic service always.Recommended dishesFries, Steak Pie, Steak, Chilli, Fish and Chips
Popped in for a drink on a Wednesday afternoon quite busy. Staff were great called us a taxi. Good ambience.Service: 4/5
Contrary to sending a read online, not a purveyor of Abbott Ale. BUT a comfy neighborhood place for a pint after work or a long day sight seeing. Convenient to the National Piping Centre and The Pipers Tryst.
What a lovely bar to come across. Staff were super friendly, the menu and food looked amazing although we didn't eat but will definitely be returning to try. Great warm friendly atmosphere. Wish I had found this bar sooner.
Great authentic glasgow pub. We were in when the karaoke was kicking off on Friday night. Bit out of the hubbub of the city centre but if you find yourself in the area and don't want to overpay for drink....Service: 5/5
This is a great pub, staff are so friendlyFood: 4/5
Not a bad bar, nice decor, and food was cheap/fast/edible, but it was more expensive for a soda and like than my pint of belhaven was! 4.10 is ridiculous for a soft drink.Food: 2/5
