Story

Just a few minutes stroll from the shopping heart of Leamington Spa, the Star & Garter is a lovely old town centre pub. Recently renovated, there are still plenty of snug corners in the classic bar where you can enjoy a pint, a glass of decent wine or a coffee with friends. And now the bar leads into a smart, quirkily-decorated eatery beside an open kitchen that turns out top quality fresh food all day and evening. Great parties are on the agenda too in the glamorous star-studded room upstairs, where French windows lead onto a private terrace. And if you really have to work, there’s free Wi-Fi and plenty of sockets throughout the pub.

Fantastic pub with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, an extensive wine list and an incredibly friendly staff. We went there for my birthday and it was excellent, especially the flat iron steak that day’s special and the Camembert appetizer. A superb experience overall.
The best place I've ever been. The staff are super friendly and the food is just amazing. They have dessert options and some nice world infused dishes too. Had a wonderful time and absolutely safe to grab a drink or a bite. There is parking nearby. Definitely would recommend this place to have the best pub food.
Good attentive staff, very helpful in social distancing rules and with menu choices. Food looked good albeit prices were a little upmarket for our taste. Guinness was a decent pint and ordering system online effective.
Wonderful. The food was excellent as was the service. Really friendly staff and a good selection of real Ales too. If you're in Leamington, give it a try, you will not be dissapointed.
Excellent system for dealing with Covid was offset by a Sunday roast that disappointed all three of us. The Yorkshire's tasted burnt, and the roasties were too chewy and not crispy at all. Great service though, but I expect we'll continue to search for a Sunday lunch option in Leamington

Even under current silly CV19 Protocol its still a great place! Been coming here for 30 years & its a great place to eat and drink.
Friendly right from the outset. The food was delicious, in fact I had food envy, as my date ate her steak pie, I was eagerly waiting for her to leave some. Having said that, my lamb and mint burger was pretty nice too. Definitely order the pie though. Great ambience, clearly happy staff, great range of beers and wines.
