Great venue especially if you have young children, food isn’t the best to put it lightly. I had a “smash burger” which wasn’t smashed, no point calling it a smashed burger. Wife had the citrus salmon which was full of bones. £8.25 for a slice of bread with some tomatoes on is absolutely insane bruschetta. Again if you have children it’s great as has play areas outside. Just thought I’d be honest with my food review as it’s quite a big part of the reason for coming out for the afternoon/day.
Food was was typical of a gastro pub, not Michelin star but hardly inedible as some reviews suggest. What really please me is good customer service and here they were fantastic. Polite, well mannered, clean, tidy, I could go on. Layla was my waitress, massive thumbs up to her.Food: 3/5
Best £20 I've ever spent on all you can eat breakfast for 2 Good quality full English breakfast as much as you want for £9.99 that includes as much coffee and tea and great toast and butter and to top it all off Nutella yum Friendly staff and service
Ordered a steak with jacket potato but potato was rock hard and raw, sent it back for everyone else to finish their meals whilst I’m still waiting to then get the meal back and whilst the potato was better the steak was well done rather than medium rare and had black charring all over one end of it but did not want to send it back twice and wait all over again. Steak was taken off the bill which was appreciated but would have rather just had a decent meal.
Saturday Morning Breakfast! The food was unlimited and cooked to order and tasted lovely. We really enjoyed taking our coffees outside after we'd eaten and enjoyed the lovely garden to the rear! I just want to say that the staff were lovely and friendly, especially the General Manager Emma. She couldn't do enough for you, so polite and professional! The Stanhope also offer a generous loyalty scheme as well! Thank you and see you again soon!
Had a really nice lunch with friends today, we had various meals including club sandwiches and Katsu curry. All were piping hot and very good! The service was excellent, very friendly and attentive and making sure our wine glasses were topped up! Will definitely return for our ladies lunch again!
Took mum for a birthday lunch and was greeted by a lovely friendly waitress that sat us down straight away. She took our drinks order promptly and settled us in, the food when it arrived was really hot and wel presented and both waitresses asked us if we were on and the food was on point, very nice place will define back and many thanks to Sarah and Naomi for looking after us
I sat with my dog outside yesterday, there was a water bowl for him to drink from and the staff were lovely speaking to me about my dog. I had a cup of tea and the lady who served me was very helpful.Food: 5/5
Visited recently Mothers Day evening. Had the triple meat roast all cooked to perfection. Atmosphere was lovely. Fresh flowers and ambient music. Team were very polite and helpful. Good communication from the server informing us that the printer had broken in the kitchen and that service was slightly slower because of this. We were happy to wait and had a drink which was also perfect. The head chef keiran was there as we were leaving, introduced himself and thanked us for our patience. Great service, food, drink and atmosphere. Will be returning.
I came in for cocktails as I saw they are 2 for £10 and decided to order a burger which was cooked perfectly and the person taking my order was very polite and asked about allergies. Will definitely come back Food: 5/5
