Had a great lunch here on the back of some excellent cakes we picked up a few weeks ago. Fantastic food which exceeded our expectation’s. The flavours were amazing and nice to see locally sourced meats. All the staff were wonderful and very accommodating for our twin babies. We will be back again for breakfast.
We were on holiday and told that Barton Marina was well worth a visit, and it really was. We ate at the Boat House kitchen and bakery, which had only opened last weekend. It was a truly amazing experience.At first there were no inside tables so we sat beneath the wall heater and a lovely lady, brought us out some blankets. An inside table became free so we moved. The cafe has been beautifully renovated and as it was full, had a great vibe. They present wonderful menus and we had a delicious brunch. I then went to their display of mouth watering pastries, and chose the most phenomenal maple and pecan danish. When back in Staffordshire, we will certainly be returning. A super place, with the most helpful and caring staff.
I'm already a big fan of Poms in Lichfield, so I was very excited to visit their new venture; The Boat House. It most definitely didn't disappoint! I went with my family and their small dog, for my 30th birthday, and it was the perfect venue. Wonderful scenery, the warmest welcome, and incredible food! I cannot recommend them more!
Fabulous place for brunch when visiting a friend who lived locally. There were three of us who each had different dishes and each one was perfectly cooked. We finished off with another round of drinks and a cake. The staff were very friendly and professional. Everyone else in the busy restaurant looked very happy with their food and was both children and dog friendly. I’m already planning what I’m having next time with come with a milkshake and waffles top if the list…. Which can be justified with a walk around the lake and Marina after. Thank you!
Absolutely fantastic! From the warm welcome on arrival, to the decor and the spacious seating, right through to the food itself of course!, The Boat House is everything you’d wish for in a stylish eatery and it’s certainly every bit as good as it’s city centre counterpart, POMS. Portion sizes here are not for the faint of heart, be prepared to feel stuffed in the most delightful of ways and to not need dinner if you choose to eat brunch! The food really is excellent. Highly recommended!
Visited en-route to the Peak District for some brunch and Poms did not disappoint. Between us we had the breakfast sandwich huge! and the gluten free full English. Both meals tasted lovely and the service was spot on too. It does seem to get quite busy so worthwhile booking in advance if you can!Food: 5/5
Great range of food, pastries and drinks. The deli is definitely worth a look too for some tasty treats. I’ve eaten here on numerous occasions, and every time the staff have been so welcoming and the food has been delicious. Will be back again and again and again! Great addition to the marina. Definitely recommend a visit if you’ve not tried it yet! Vegetarian options: Great selection of vegetarian options on the menu. Kid-friendliness: The staff have been so lovely with my children I have a 1yr old and a 4yr old when I’ve visited. The children’s menu can be coloured and they have crayons available for this. High chairs available too. I’ve always added a note to advise when I’ll have the buggy on the booking and not had an issue regarding this. Lovely selection of children’s drinks and food also.
Met friends for an early brunch. Very friendly service and an excellent menu. 'American' sized portions, so have a large appetite or share a platter. Bought some great freshly baked bread. Will be back very soon.Food: 5/5
Lovely brunch experience in a fantastic cafe. The coffee, food and service was top notch. The front of house and the barista were extremely friendly and accommodating to our needs of having a baby and a dog with us. The food was excellent, I would highly recommend the crab cakes. But all of the menu looked really appetising and I will be revisiting very soon to try out some other dishes.
The staff are just wonderful. I've been here a few times and I've never been disappointed. I do wish there were more vegetarian items on the menu, oddly the only available salad has meat in it. I love the granola and sourdough, and the portion sizes are generous. Vegetarian options: There are a small number of veggie items, but I do think there should be more
