Been here a couple of times recently. Staff are lovely and friendly. Service was quick. Drinks arrived straight away. The food was fantastic both times. The lasagne was amazing! Definitely will go back again soon
Visited early October 2022 & I suspect will shut with the National Brewery Site at the end of this month!! It will be a massive loss if this is the case as the cask beers from the Heritage Brewing Company which I know is shutting are superb! The food menu is reasonably priced and the pie of the day was really tasty. History in the form of signs & information are everywhere & it's a series of great spaces to sit & saviour the brewing experience. However to close & make the staff redundant as I believe is hanging over the whole of this site is so depressing & judging by the amount of other empty buildings around a real waste of a great bar & museum. Try and enjoy before the closure! part of
A pub restaurant venue, next to the National Brewery centre, which is adjacent, both are sadly closing at the end of October. This is a terrible blow to the preservation of brewing heritage in Burton on Trent. Pay a visit while you can.
Really good food and Ale. Lovely display of old cars and vehicles and some horses. Would recommend and price was also reasonable .
Tour of a brewery with tasting after. Say no more. Very hot day, so a little stuffy inside. See how was n is made. Vehicles. Shop.
Went here to see The Jerseys, a Frankie Valli tribute act. Most of the acts here appear to be tributes. It was the first day we had snow. It was cold and slippery. Got to the bar and it was crowded. Only 2 staff on and they kept disappearing. There were some cask ales so I was happy. Had a struggle to find where the show was. I was surprised to find it in a tent! In this weather! There were 2 ineffective heaters. There was a seating plan, which was good as it meant we did not have to fight for our places. Had a good view of the band until people got up dancing. Band were ok but with very fake Americam accents. Food was not great tasteless turkey slices and hard brussel sprouts, no dessert! Went to the bar to get another beer but they had no bitter in the tent! Not even bottles! The Tap bar was closed so had to have an IPA. Got very cold so went home early. Not happy. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Lovely place for a drink or meal after visiting the National Brewery Centre, or at any other time. Welcoming and friendly staff/volunteers. Really enjoyed their own Masterpiece ale!
Not impressed this time around with the sunday carvery! Only one thin slice of meat per plate, which was dry, parsnips were also dry and not much of a selection of veg. The server gave me indigestion as when she wasnt serving she would walk around the tables. Was not worth the money. Will not revisit.
Had some good memories shared here at the Brewery Tap shame it's having to close. Coops have some explaining to the locals, who've made British Pubs the Hub of many Local Lives. Shame Money takes preference to History for Coors owners.
Attended the soul night last night friday the 15th july 2022 , had dinner in the restaurant the steak and ale pie was really nice plenty of meat and good portions , the soul night was really enjoyable
