It was a grey day....but that didn't stop the beauty of the town shining through...its got pubs for everyone....beautiful buildings...loads of charity shops... great rail connections...loads of car parking....you must go there soon...
Charming station, totally in keeping with the town which is a reminder of an England largely gone. I guess Stamford escaped many of the ravages of industry and its decline, the scars of which so mar the north and midlands. The luftwaffe and town planners have done their worst elsewhere but luckily this place survived intact. Unfortunately the car is the scourge of the town now, and if the centre could be free of traffic it would make this a better place to visit.
Very pleasant, clean & attractive small station. Interesting mid-19th century architecture - unique compared to normal stations and worth a visit for this reason alone! Tidy and well-maintained with indoor waiting area and staffed information desk.
Such a pretty town with so many little coffee shops and eateries. Plus a wonderful walk through the rec, over the bridge and towards the dinky little railway starion
Beautiful historic town with olde worlde charm. Lots of great cafes and bars.
