I had a mixed roast on the Sunday just gone and it was honestly one of the best, if not THE best roast I have ever had! The portion size was very generous which I was greatful for! Really tender meat, not at all stringy as I have seen another reviewer write. The roast potatoes were something very special too. Lovely and crisp with a soft fluffy centre. For dessert I had the sticky toffee pudding, which was a very good choice. I would describe myself as somewhat of a sticky toffee pudding connoisseur as I've had it so much and this one was definitely up there with the best! The staff were very friendly and attentive too. Definitely recommend if you're in the area!

Excellent food well served in very pleasant surroundings. Staff friendly and attentive. Regular attendees and will be back in the near future.

We were seated in a corner recess table with walls either side and could barely move. It was our sons 18th birthday meal and was told the table would be decorated. No, this was not done. The food was average at best with most of it looking like it came out of Iceland. Not once during the meal did the staff ask how our food was. At the end we were asked and we said the steaks were tough and not cooked to order. There was not much of an apology and was told we should have mentioned it and another two steaks would have been cooked. Great. So, two of us would have ate and the other two could have eaten after. Not that anyone made their selves available to speak to. Lovely setting and probably ok to sit and have a drink in the Summer.
