Very pleased with our short stay at The George. Great rooms, beautifully decorated with plenty of storage and very comfortable bed. En-suite was excellent and very well maintained. A special word for the marvellous breakfast featuring the best fried egg I’ve ever had in a hotel. South Molton is a convenient place for travelling around North Devon and I’d certainly recommend The George and it’s very friendly staff.
Just want to thank Mark and the team for their hard work and excellent hospitality. The service and food for our special birthday celebrations on Saturday were exceptional.nnWe had a fabulous afternoon and the team did a great job looking after everything. The food was fantastic. Highly recommend the George for functions and just a drink everything was superb. Family that stayed overnight loved the rooms and the excellent Breakfast.nnThank you again.
Had a three night stay, the price included a full breakfast which was superb. The rooms were comfortable and roomy, everything was very fresh and clean, the ensuite also good with great shower and constant hot water. Mark the hands-on owner and his staff were friendly and helpful. They serve afternoon tea and have a bar but no evening meal, they do allow you to bring in a takeaway and are happy to supply you with plates, cutlery and sauces so you can eat in the breakfast area, which we did. Overall a pleasant experience and would definitely stay there again.
We are regular visitors to The George and always enjoy our time there with lovely staff, delicious breakfast and very welcoming bar area. A great location in the middle of South Molton with onsite parking. Thoroughly recommended.
We live in south molton and came for a birthday breakfast meal and my daughter. I always book my family here to stay when they visit and they always say how lovely the breakfast is so we thought we would try it didn't disappoint. Fantastic definitely be back .
