One of the best away days. Friendly, welcoming supporters and staff, decent food and drink, reasonably priced. Good central location near the station easy walking distance and very picturesque riverside,nharbour and coastline. The only downside was the location of the away stand and the view - I couldn’t fully see the goal line at the away end. The atmosphere was decent at the start but quietened later. Still, 5 stars overall.

Took my dad for his 70th birthday for the first time, lifelong supporter but never been before he lives far away. Bought founders tickets to see the match,a bit more expensive but well worth it. Entrance via the founders bar. Greeted by the staff and introduced to a Sunderland legend,Micky Horswill, who took us into the stadium to see it pre-match. Thank you Micky. The founders bar isn't huge and does get busy. Friendly,welcoming and helpful staff. The seats were brilliant, just behind the Sunderland dugout. Obviously the stadium is amazing, atmosphere was perfect as you'd expect. Thankfully Sunderland won which made my dad's visit even more memorable. An amazing stadium and a great time had. HAWAY THE LADS!

Great match day atmosphere. Has improved a lot over the past few years. Love the editions of the stand names and former roker park sign. Plenty of access for wheelchairs into the stadium

I was very surprised that the Stadium of Light from a Newcastle follower I'm being very diplomatic was really nice tbh. Very similar to their counterparts; just in red and white. Nice ground, the food and drink stalls were good; the people very friendly and a good experience overall. A good day out for 'The Legends' match...
