Went to my first game in 30 years here. Although it was in the away end was still a great atmosphere. Used to always come to the stadium as a kid as my mam and aunt used to be stewards at the events and concerts so always ended up getting free entry. So it was a bit of a nostalgic moment being back in the stadium and actually got a seat at the spot my mam was always posted.
So so, miles away from the playing surface, very little atmosphere. Staff helpful and friendly, food and drink average. Helped with a 3-0 win and top of the league.
Visited as away football fan. Free parking on site. Stewards really friendly and helpful. Uncovered away section but weather was mainly dry. Teas and snacks available, varied and reasonably priced. Card payment available. Good view of the match. Overall a really enjoyable experience apart from the result!
Gateshead ended up putting stevenage fans under what looked like an unfinished stand with just an over frame but know over head coverage to stop us getting wet . Yet couid of put us in the main stand segregated from home fans . For me unacceptable considering the long journey and money spent by many . Plenty of room to the left of the main stand. Something around 135 .
Absolutely pathetic design of the access and car parking. Poor at the best of times but horrendous on match days. If someone needed an Ambulance on the top pitches you’ve got no chance due to the single lane and one way in/out design. The architects who proposed this and the planners that passed it should be ashamed.
Luv to go and watch Gateshead Play, very friendly crowd, plenty of encouragement from the fans Grest food. Wrap up warm.
Closed when we passed by. Large stadium, impressive stands, easy access from the station. Probably better suited to international athletics than National League football.
Gateshead International Stadium is more suited to it's role as an athletics venue than a football one on which I base my score. Saw a very entertaining game which cost £15 for myself and £3 for my son. The crowd were very passionate at times though maybe too passionate and got behind the home team. Facilities like toilets in the reception area were not the best. Food was available, but even allowing for a crowd of less than 800 the queue meant I waited until full time to buy a sandwich over the road at Asda. Plenty of parking spaces on site with frequent public transport available from Gateshead town centre. Go North East Loop stops outside the stadium and Metro serves Gateshead Stadium but allow for a 10 minute walk. Can't get lost direct path between them
We loved the stalls and the items, great antique fair..
This is a spacious vengeful sporting, social and commercial events. Very Good spacious food Hall with seating and all round visibility. Parking with security for events. Good satisfying food and hospitable. I was there for a collectors Fair. However I have also attended sporting events.
