The reception staff have been amazing, so patient and supportive of my many calls to them dealing with my Uncle. I wish all doctor’s receptionists had the same attitude as they have been so lovely and understanding. The doctors have also been very good, they have never had an issue making a home visit and they always make time to call me. I really appreciate all your support!
What has happened to our lovely, caring practice. Can't get an appointment anytime soon, looked online and no appointments available. Used to be able to see a doctor within 2-3 days and if urgent same day. I was put on a waiting list for a cortisone injection on 14 Dec and still no action even I've rang twice to see why it's taking so long and told them that I can't sleep because of the pain. I was told that they haven't set up a clinic yet and number 3 in queue. As someone else has said when you do go they are supposed to be busy but no one in the waiting room. Not good practice anymore
Absolutely hopeless level of care. Call for an appointment and don't expect one any time soon, however when you attend don't be surprised to see a practice devoid of any patients. Strange. When you do see a physician, don't expect to competence. Instead expect the bare minimum of intellectual curiosity and a reasonable level of arrogance. "Would I be able to see published material on this treatment to make an informed decision?" Dr "no, you wouldn't understand it." That anecdote speaks for itself.
I called and made an appointment several months ago and had to wait two weeks to get an appointment. When I arrived the waiting room was empty apart from one other person ovbiously not that busy. After discussing the issue with the doctor I wasn’t impressed, so I decided to go private to get the answers I was after. My wife is also concern there isn’t any female Dr to discuss female / more intimate related issues. After going Corporate the service is very very poor compared to the level of service we had before.
What on Earth has happened to this surgery?! You can’t even get through on the phone since it was taken over. This surgery used to be a lovely surgery where the Doctors knew you and your history as well as your family members. I feel like I’m better off going to the pharmacy for advice these days. I have to add, the receptionist staff are lovely so what is the organisation doing to them where you can’t get through on the phone!!!??? The practice nurse, Kate, is wonderful. But the surgery as a whole, pffft. Don’t bother. Find another.
When trying to contact the surgery the phone rings for a very long time before anyone answers. It took me 12 mins to get through. If you go to the surgery it is very quite there does not appear to be many staff as previously. I am told they are very busy and I cannot have an appointment ring back next week but the waiting room is empty . Also we need a female doctor as it can be embarrassing in certain occasions for a woman to speak to a man. Please get back to the wonderful practise we once had
Well, if you first of all, look at the good reviews, that's when this was a "real" Doctors surgery, when we had the great Dr's Miller, Thwaite and Lloyd! Now, you get none helpful receptionist's, practice manager who is not doing the job what so ever, and a bunch of Doctors, who seem to like the "111" card? Not very helpful what so ever. It's strange because, there always booked up, yet there's no car's in car park, yet before when the proper caring doctors was here, the car park & waiting room was full, to the point you had to stand up in waiting room, and park your car either on the front on the walk way, or at the side of the white hart pub over the road And...Still get an appointment!!! I don't understand were all these patients are who take all the slots up from morning till they close, nor do i see the car park full? Rather strange to say the least. Patients get fobbed off, or, you may get a call back, and told to pop down Chesterfield, to 111 in all weathers, miles away from your home, when you feeling under the weather! Some government/councillor/ombudsman needs to get on top of this surgery because peoples life's are seriously at risk. Majority of conditions need nipping in the bud, or, we have no chance of survival...But, what do these care, as long as they get there £'s! Its a JOKE!
No i will share them with my MP and the secetary ot Health i might possibly have cancer you refused to let me see my Doctot andmoffered me a nurse on Monday i was a nurse for thirty years when you have a big swelling its yOur Doctor you need to see i am already going for a stomach scan on the 30th of December my Doctor does not know about the swelling on my hip he told me if anything occured i was supposed to go straight back to see him so if anything happens to me it will not be the Doctors fault
Totally uncaring and, in my eyes, negligent, since all their Doctor and partner changes. So many people I know have said the same, and are leaving in droves, so it's not just my experience. They've been absolutely brilliant for the last 20+ years since I've been with them. But absolutely garbage now..... Unless they can make a fortune from giving you a jab. It's now all they seem bothered about. I rang to get a repeat prescription that is for a lifelong condition. They referred me to a phone number and an online service, rather than write out a prescription. I've never known this happen before, plus the only reason I contacted them for one is that both the services they referred me to have been impossible to contact in the last week.Like many others I know, I'll be changing my G.P. practice. Such a shame, as Dr's Miller, Thwaite, Lloyd , Natt and and the practice nurses have all been amazing in the last 20+ years. Such a shame an amazing practice has gone so sour recently, since these Dr's and the partners have left or taken a back seat.
Recently 2021 onwards the standard of care is shocking and that is being kind. If you want an argument please go there, I've not known such unhelpful reception staff and manager. The doctors were ok but the new intake are not good. A real shame as previously they were good and helpful. Now..... Find elsewhere for care if you can.
