St. John's Wood Station is served by the Jubilee line it's a small underground station that runs well. The entrance of the station is small and the ticket hall area is a round circular shape with a photo booth and cash machine inside here. There are plenty of ticket barriers to use there is no lifts available here only stairs and escalators. The station was clean and tidy and there was a staff member around St. John's Wood Station is the closest train station to Lords Cricket Ground and can be busy when matches are on.
Very windy entrance to the station. But otherwise a nice, clean one with friendly staff.
Opened in November 1939, now Grade II Listed with notable original bronze/wood escalators with a set of uplights. Retaining significant original fabric though the platform/interior designed moulded tiles be replicas with the original design scheme faithfully reproduced. Stylish, exuding period charm and fit for purpose with staff here diligent and helpful.
A beautiful station with an old escalator design I haven't seen before. Exits to greenery, making it really pleasent.
Beautiful and friedly place. Safe and peaceful lots of caffe and bars.
Cute little station. Kept nice and clean with clear timetabling. It could use more regularity in staffing
A suburb station with a beautiful view especially from the escalator to the exit gate.
It was unable to cope with the crowd leaving Lords cricket ground. We were pointed to Swiss Cottage Station instead. It was able to cope but the train struggled to cope on it's way to Waterloo even at around 10:30pm! Every station appeared to be jammed full of people wanting to get on.
Who doesn't love this station? It's preserved features, the uplighters on the escalators it is almost a working museum station.
St. John's Wood underground station is very beautiful outside, but old and slightly dark inside. it is a small station with only jubilee line working through it. The escalators are long and a bit dusty, and give a sense that the station is very old. Although the ground is relatively clean, it feels that the walls and sides in th station have not been serviced for a long time
