Went football boots shopping with my son and daughter.nnThe extensive range of boots available is great and the low prices is what drives customers to come here.nnThe young gentleman helping us with the boots was excellent. Polite and helpful with a positive attitude. We were quickly able to try the different sizes and styles and picked a pair for both the kids.nnIt was quiet so no queuing and payment made quickly. I forgot about my membership and I wasn't asked either so told the lady if she could scan my card, which she said no. Confused I said why, it's how the system works and the only way to scan the membership is to return everything and buy it again.nnWhat should be a simple process was just not a good customer experience.nnOverall, good prices and range of boots.
As a parent of three children, all of whom play multiple sports, and as a sports coach myself, I’ve regularly visited Sports Direct at Leicester Fosse Park. To be fair, they carry a decent range of essentials across many sports, but the customer service in this store is consistently appalling.nnThe staff are repeatedly lazy, unhelpful, and often downright rude. Trying to get assistance — especially with something as basic as buying shoes — is a constant struggle. During busy times, staff refuse to leave their stations to help customers where it’s clearly needed. I appreciate many are young, but simple communication and basic manners shouldn’t be too much to expect.nnAt the tills, it’s no better. Staff openly complain about being busy because other tills on other floors aren’t open, and more often than not, I’m made to feel like an inconvenience for even being there. The service is so poor that even my children all under 12 now comment on how unhelpful and rude the staff are every time we visit.nnMy most recent experience was the final straw: the staff at the till were so rude that I abandoned over £200 worth of products and walked out. After years of trying to persevere, I fear my relationship with Sports Direct is over.nnA quick glance through other recent reviews shows I’m not alone in this view — this branch seriously needs to address its customer service issues.
Terrible and impolite customer service.nnThe shop, in itself, is fine. Everyone knows what you are getting with SD and what they sell. The Fosse Park store is quite smart and well set out.nMy issue is that basic manners and being polite doesn't seem to be the ethos or the paradigm of anyone who works there. It's atrocious!nPurchased some trainers for my 11 year old son who was with me, as was my 7 year old nephew. The cashier couldn't bring herself to say hello, please or thank you once during the whole transaction I did, all of them and I'm the customer.nWhat an abysmal example to set for 2 youngsters coming into the shop. They both noticed her surly attitude and I had to explain to them that it's very much not the norm.nBasic manners cost nothing and should be expected in a customer facing role.nIf she was working for me, she'd be gone.
Great Sports Direct store with plenty of good deals. Wide variety of shoes to choose from, along with sportswear and accessories. Competitive prices, regular offers, and a convenient location at Fosse Park.
I had a disappointing experience at this store. The customer service was noticeably poor — the staff were unhelpful, appeared disinterested, and seemed bored while on the shop floor. There was only one person serving on the tills, while other staff members stood around chatting instead of assisting customers.nnTo make matters worse, the no returns policy was never mentioned or made clear before I completed my purchase. When I later tried to return an item, I was told it wasn’t possible, with no effort made to resolve the situation.nnOverall, the experience was very unprofessional and frustrating. The lack of communication, poor attitude from staff, and unclear policies make this a place I would strongly recommend avoiding.
