Manager and staff are an absolute waste of oxygen.nConned me into buying an £88 Lacoste jumper. I purchased it a few weeks ago, in the size down from the size I usually get as they didn't have my usual size. The size I chose, which was medium, fitted fine off the shelf, but in my experience, lacoste clothing shrinks. So I before purchasing, I said to the obviously incompetent girl behind the till, could I return it if it shrunk. She said yes that's fine, obviously just to get my money.nLow and behold it shrunk, so I tried to take it back yesterday 21st November, and was told by the manager that I couldn't return it because I'd washed it and how were they to know i didn't wash it incorrectly. They were not willing to help in the slightest, and so I tried speaking to online chat who were also useless. Saying they couldn't help as it was an in-store purchase and they can only help with online purchases.nSo basically they have ripped me off and left me £88 out of a pocket with a jumper that would barely fit my 6 year old. If I could give minus stars I would!
As a tall man, I was hoping I could buy some tall mens items but absolutely nothing available for me. Over 2 floors there is room to stock something to suit me but no, not wanted here. If told that I can buy online, why have a shop.nWent online and bought elsewhere.
This was my first time ordering online with Sports Direct, and unfortunately it will also be my last. I made multiple trips to the Weymouth store to collect my order, and each time the staff were polite, friendly and genuinely helpful. They consistently checked for me and confirmed that the item had never arrived, and the manager on my most recent visit was especially supportive.nnThe issue wasn’t with the store at all — it was with Sports Direct’s online system and customer support. I received no collection emails, no return notifications, and no communication at any point. When I contacted customer services, I was given information that directly contradicted what the store had told me and what had actually happened. A refund was only processed after I raised the issue, despite the item supposedly being returned days earlier.nnThe Weymouth staff did everything they could, but the online ordering and customer service experience was extremely poor and has put me off ordering online with Sports Direct again.
Pretty small store. Prices are pretty high compared online.nthe quality of the brands seemed to the eye, not great quality. The shame used to be a great store.
Visited the new store for first time. WAY bigger, BUT BEWARE! I needed to return a pair of trainers that my son had chosen, but wife deemed totally unsuitable. I explained issue and expected a refund back to my debit card, but the girl on the counter said that it was policy handed down from on high that they would not refund, but only give me a store credit note for my £65. This means that I have effectively loaned them £65 until I need something else from there.nIf you are comfortable with this, then go ahead; but once I have used my £65 I shall be VERY wary about going in there again. It's a shame, really, because the new store is a huge leap forward, but if they're going to pull this rather sneaky move I am NOT willing to give them my business...
