Our first visit today, the pool is not very big and the water was cold, but my 4 year old was not bothered. He enjoyed the waves and I enjoyed the slightly warmer jacuzzi. The changing village is a bit run down. We didn't use the slides as we were told the queues were big and the wait time was about 20 minutes. The cafe had a good food selection, but with only 1 staff working the kitchen there was a significant wait. They also got our drink order wrong, but happily resolved the issue.
it really pains me to have to write such an awful review about a local leisure facility, one in which i have been so dedicated to using over the past few years,nnjust recently I took my children swimming to an after school big splash session,nwith my children being non confident swimmers i kept them in the small splash section dedicated to non swimmers,nthis area has the main access to the pool but people are not disturbed when trying to teach little ones to swim,,nnwell so i thought,.... on multiple occasions a group of teenagers ran through kicking and splashing water, to which no life guard and i say that very lightly as i wouldn't put them in charge of my life if i ever had an accident while swimming, a bunch of children who have just gained the first 25m badge ????nanyway kids will be kids i was a teenager once and messed around,nbut!!! this went to far and one of the lads knocked over my daughter causing her to go under the water, yes she had arm bands on and i was right by her side, however no acknowledgement from any safety staff not even the blow of a whistle,,,, where as if it was my jumping in i can 100% bet that a whistle would of been blown,nnso i took it upon myself to shout to the lads watch where ya going and an apology wouldn't go a miss,nshocked by this very brave teenagers response was to offer me out for a fight ha ha ha ha ha, im six ft 5 and 20 stone safe to say this little whippet wouldnt of stood a chance, anyways i got out of the pool and told the little rat id drown him,nnafter seeing to my daughter of course,nthen the life guards where on duty for the protection of the teenager ...... funny isnt it,,nnanyways my daughter is safe an had a minor bruise as to where she fell,,nnsplash manager responded to the altercation agreeing with what happened to be wrong and she would re train the staff,,,nnand she also suspended my membership as she felt as though she had to,nnto which I politely asked to be refunded and just terminate my membership,nnshe declined this and passed me on to some made up senior management team.nnbasically she sat down again had a good long think about how right i was and that she couldn't keep me in a contract and suspend it so she back tracked and terminated my agreement as requested,nni will happily go and spend money elsewhere you have to put your children first in any element of safeguardingnnshame on you splash for thinking about money before child safety you could of kept your 24.99 it might of bought you some common sense
Great place for whole family. There are two slides and it's allowed for kids from 1 meter. One big deep pool where everybody are allowed, and two safety pools for kids, two jacuzzi not hot.
Had the pool to ourselves as youngun was off because of teacher training day was brilliant but the hot tub wasn't hot.nClean changing rooms and toilets.
Splash has a small learner pool, a baby/toddler splash pool and a main pool. There are 2 slides and a jacuzzi area. Reasonably priced if you are a member of the active card scheme, but without this costs can be high.nnPoolside changing area, 1 accessible /disabled changing room and family changing rooms. Open showers, but private showers also available in the toilet area. Access is good throughout splash, but slippy underfoot in the changing areas as expected. Lockers are big enough to hold mobility aids or walking sticks up to 34/35 inches tall maxnnCareful getting changed during 'wave sessions' the water comes out into the changing area and will soak anything you have on the floor in the closest 2 changing cubicles as I found out today when my bag got wet
