I visited Spire in Roundhay as a day patient for surgery to my hand. The staff were all incredible and took great care of me during my visit. Everyone was so kind, caring and attentive. I had my own private room which was clean, comfortable and well equipped. There were no lengthy waits, staff were quick in seeing to things and provided great, all round care. Highly recommended!
I had Sciatica and had been experiencing problems for months. I was unable to stay on my feet long enough to even brush my teeth. I was taking a lot of painkillers. My GP wanted to send me to the pain clinic with a 15 month waiting list. I made an appointment to see Mr Pal, Consultant Neurosurgeon, at Leeds Spire. He quickly got me in for surgery. I had a Microdiscectomy on a herniated disc and immediately I was back on my feet again. Within 2 weeks of surgery I was walking 30 minutes and 12 weeks later I was able to return to cycling. Fifteen weeks later I am fully recovered. The site of the surgery was tiny and was a great success. Thank you to Mr Pal and the team at Spire Leeds.
My dad needed a GP appointment, so spent a few days trying to get one - unsuccessfully. Spire were able to see him within 24 hours - what a relief! I attended with him this morning and were seen by Dr Chaggar - who was brilliant. He took the time to listen to my dad and made some recommendations accordingly. We now have a medical plan moving forwards with Spire - for which I am extremely grateful. Thanks again.
Had my gallbladder removed last Thursday at spire. From start to finish the staff were absolutely amazing with me. I was very nervous and they reassured me at every step. Helen was an absolute star! Thank you so much for looking after me Helen and reassuring me throughout the process. I don't know how I would've done it without you! The whole procedure went well with no problems. The facilities are great, clean and presentable. Despite the experience being terrifying, the whole staff team at spire made it easier. Thank you all for taking care of me.
Absolutely amazing service and care I received today for my gallbladder removal with Professor Toogood. I was looked after from start to finish by all the staff especially Staff nurse Emma who cared for me amazingly. Cannot thank them all enough also Mr Morgan the anesthetist who really reassured and calmed me ready for the operation. You are all fantastic and thanks so much. Oh yeah the room was brilliant as well see the pics.
I was recently reviewed by Dr. Luis Idrovo, a Consultant Neurologist, for various neurological symptoms that I have been experiencing. The initial consultation was comprehensive, and I felt he listened intently to my concerns. He made me feel at ease and involved me in both the diagnostic and treatment process, taking the time to explain my options. I would absolutely recommend Dr Idrovo to anyone looking for a Consultant Neurologist.
I visited the Roundhay hospital today to see Doctor Idrovo-Freire and he was amazing from start to finish. He listened to everything I had to say and reassured me that what I was told by the GP was not the case. He made me feel at ease from the very beginning and has genuinely made my day. Dr Idrovo I can not thank you and the team enough
I had my first consultation with Dr Luis Idrovo on Monday 20 May. He immediately put me at ease by asking questions in a considered and sensitive manner. He listened attentively and he gave me a clear overview of my medical situation and next steps. He was happy to answer my questions and he left me feeling confident about the way forward. Thank you.
I was seen by Dr Idrovo after I suffered a seizure. The reception staff were welcoming and efficient. Dr Idrovo was also very welcoming and also reassuring. He asked lots of questions about the circumstances leading up to my seizure and actions taken afterwards, including discussing it with my wife and daughter. He explained his thinking throughout the process, and explained his conclusions in clear terms, with a firm recommendation for further tests. He also revised my prescription, again with a clear explanation as to why. He took the time to recommend useful websites, and preventative actions to be taken. Throughout he was friendly, informative and reassuring. I recommend Dr Idrovo, and I will be going back once test results are in.
The private care spire offer is worse than a Saturday night in A&E , Because a nurse didn’t take my concerns serious or even pass them over to my consultant I needed a second operation and another 4 week off work , I wouldn’t recommend using spire at all but if you have to ,make sure you get everyone’s name you deal with as if I had that nurses I would post it on here to warn people about my experience and to not accept what she said my consultant Ian Botterill wasn’t the best either . Long and short of avoid they don’t admit fault and had to argue to get an apology.
