Moored there on our narrowboat for two weeks. Good parking and easy access to canal walks, Middlewood Way, the Waulkmill water falls and the hills around including the White Nancy and Kerridge Ridge.

Interesting bridge. We don't get these on the Leeds Liverpool canal! We walked about a mile along the canal to reach the bridge,  had a wander over it, then retraced our route back. Apparently there are six of these along the canal. Well worth seeing.

Very unusual bridges .... interesting place

A beautiful example of the spiral bridges to be found along the Macclesfield canal.

Interesting bridge along rhe canal, can be slippery when wet
