A Culinary Delight- A memorable Experience! We recently had the pleasure of dining at Spicy Tadka Basingstoke and it was an exquisite experience that left us all absolutely delighted. The ambiance at the restaurant is lively. Soft lighting and well thought-out decor which enlightened the perfect mood for our evening. Every dish we ordered was a work of art, both visually and tastefully. Definitely one of the best Indian restaurant in basingstoke , highly recommended
The food was ok. Mostly too sweet and no spice despite asking for it to be a bit spicy. Service was super slow so luckily we were not in a rush.Food: 3/5
It’s a family-friendly restaurant with lots of tables available on a Saturday night. I enjoyed the roasted eggplant dish baingan bharta while the others thoroughly enjoyed the railway lamb curry. Overall, food was amazing and service was great tooFood: 5/5
Thoroughly enjoyed our time here, nice atmosphere and pleasant staff. Good portion size, if a little expensive, but very tasty dishes. Very quiet and out if the way of the main street is hindering it's popularity and notoriety however.Food: 5/5
I am very fussy when it comes to dinning in Inidan restaurant as food needs to be yummy being a good cook myself I don’t like many Indian restaurants food. But it was amazing and yummy food. We had nali nihari, tandoori salmon, aloo tikki, garlic naan, saag paneer. Proper authentic Indian food..Food: 5/5

We were here for my husband's birthday. Was so pleased to see table with nice "happy bday" ribbon and a candle. Very cosy quiet place, nice indian music completes the atmosphere. Thanks to helpful staff. Very positive, smiley. Service is perfect. Food was amazing. Good price.
It's always nice to try a different curry house, especially when they're good like this. We wanted to see what specialities they had and asked for recommendations from the waitress, who was really helpful and very nice. The red onion chutney was a favourite with the poppadoms. Starters of lamb chops and chicken tikka were average, but the onion bhajis were really good. Mains were where things got really good. The lamb lababdaar was fantastic with a very good chicken tikka dish and saag paneer. Rice and naan were nice but the portions were a little on the small side. Great meal overall, but the venue was let down by the fact the lighting was very bright and a little stark and whenever anyone opened the door, there was nothing to prevent a very cold draught.
Visited this restaurant with family and absolutely loved the taste of the food. They cater three degrees of spice level:mild, medium and hot. I would highly recommend it for travellers in Basingstoke as it offers a world cuisine experience apart from the regular fast food chains. Go for it ! don’t come here if you enjoy good indian food. ordered for a celebration, madras tasted like plastic, all genuinely bag food. and i spent £75! Also, I did contact directly and had multiple conversations on the phone AND over text but was eventually ignored.
