100% excellent service from both the optician who saw my wife yesterday, and from the reception and other staff. She was nervous of changing from an optician seen for past 20 years, but now too far away. There was no need for concern - superb service, very thorough eye check, good advice, friendly staff. Recommend highly, if our experience is anything to go by.

Great opticians with a huge range of glasses. The staff here are really friendly and incredibly helpful. The sight tests are top notch and the customer experience couldn't be better. Really happy with my tests and glasses

The spectacles they prescribed last time never fitted properly despite me going back about 4 or 5 times. When I queried it this time I was told I need longer arms on my spectacles but they don't do them! I have sent an email querying this to Specsavers but haven't even had the courtesy of a reply.

While the staff were very friendly, they were NOT very informed nor helpful in finding out what needed to happen. My son gets his prescription (bifocal due to a squint) from the hospital consultants. We've always, without any issues at the Reading branch specsavers, filled his prescriptions using NHS voucher with the correct code. This branch didn't even try to get it filled for free, and tried to charge us extra for the type of bifocal he needed, which I knew was incorrect. I challenged this and explained, and they didn't even look into it, just said the other branch made a mistake. I even brought up the NHS voucher info to show them the code and was met with shrugs and "I just don't know what to tell you." I'm very disatisfied and will not be going back to this branch again.
