Omg what have you done to Woodley branch!nThe two day old manager is awful. The staff seem so down and upset, the manager doesn’t speak to customers not even a hello. So sad please bring back Rian! When Rian was here everyone was so happy, the store was clean and tidy every member of staff greeted the customers. It was the happiest nicest store ever. It was also the best iv seen the shop look too. On a really good note the bakery looks outstanding it’s laid out lovely all the glass is spotless clean really fabulous the other Reading stores could learn a lot from the lady who does it
We always visit once a week to buy our food stock the price is affordable’& fhe fruit, vegetables are always fresh.
I used to look forward to visiting the Woodley branch to do my grocery shopping, this friendly chap with the long curly hair was always around to help me out when I needed something and he was always engaging with the customers at the till. Think he was one of the shift managers. Always brought a smile to my face! Haven’t seen him in a while and nobody else was willing to help out the last couple of times I visited.
I can't thank Rubi enough for keeping my forgotten shopping bag behind the counter last Saturday. To say she went above and beyond to help me. So very grateful.nI must say Woodley Lidl is a great store, although I have 3 other stores within a similar distance, it is my favourite, the team are always lovely, we understand that they need to hurry customers through as quickly as possible, however I never feel rushed. They are respectful of my senior years.nWell done to the team.nMy thanks
A Very Unpleasant ExperiencennThis was by far the worst experience I have ever had.nnAt around 7 PM this evening, I entered the store. When it came to the counter to pay, I did not notice that the till next to me was going to be closednnSuddenly, the male staff with long hair at that checkout very rudely stopped me and pointed towards the number sign, implying “Don’t you see it’s red? Why are you still coming here?” His tone and gesture were extremely disrespectful.nnWhat was even more shocking was that the staff member at other till, who was serving customers, also abruptly raised his voice at me.nnWe were completely taken aback. Then joined the queue at the open one and that second cashiernFor the few customers ahead of us, he mumbled “good evening” and gave out the total casually. When it came to our turn, they made no effort to be polite. When my wife nodded at him, he even rolled his eyes.nnMy wife told him directly, “You are really being very rude.” I also stated clearly, “We didn’t do anything wrong. Why are you treating us like this?”nnHis response was unenthusiastic and careless — he simply muttered “sorry” without any sincerity.nnWe have no idea what might have happened to cause this behaviour, but this experience was completely unacceptable and deeply disappointing.
