I found the staff very helpful and welcoming, I was not pressured into purchasing any glasses or frames and was allowed to browse & make my own decisions. The staff were also very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I have visited a number of opticians recently and felt pressured and unwelcome, but not at the Allerton Store.
Visited the store today because my daughter's glasses had broken during the school day. We were seen straight away and within 20 minutes, staff had fitted her existing lenses into a new frame. We were delighted. Excellent service.
Walked in to the shop where a staff member was stood at a random stand in the middle of the floor. She looked to be dealing with a customer who was also stood randomly looking towards her. I walked to the counter as you do and was welcomed by a staff member pointing at the customer waiting in the middle of the floor. No hello. No I’m just dealing with this customer and will see to you next. Very rude and bad customer service. A simple conversation could have been had to let me know there was a customer waiting, but I’m not to know when they are stood randomly in the middle of the floor - I don’t read minds unfortunately! Will not be returning.
On arrival the staff member at the entrance was very warm and welcoming and she asked me to take a seat or have a browse at the glasses that are available. Then my eye test was done again by another friendly member of staff. Overall my visit was very satisfactory and the service, second to none. First class.
Great place to keep a track of your annual eye health & needs. Immaculately clean, very pleasant efficient staff & modern up-to-date equipment. An excellent range of glasses available at quite reasonable prices. I also had my hearing test done here.
