Bloody brillant place, had my friend from the Netherlands over for the week and so we decided to buy some British classics, as well as a couple of buzz balls, we then after purchasing stood outside the shop munching our goodies. Thanks SPAR lovely way to spend my time, also if you are reading this and want a place to sit to enjoy your treat, there are benches in the cemetery across from the SPAR be careful on your chose of goods maybe not brain sweets as that may not be the most respectful. :
Good selection and open until 9pm on Sundays which was great when returning to Hope around 6pm after a full day spent walking.
Customer service Very poor. As visitors to the area not impressed. Female member of staff had her head on the counter and was rude. Sorry you'd had a long day and lots of customers giving you a busy day but that's what keeps the business running and providing local jobs.
Really nice lady who helped us get what we needed! I’m confused about all the bad reviews it was lovely for a corner shop.
Visited the shop today for a couple of basic items only.nThe gentleman serving at the counter was not a bit friendly, we are clearly not locals as wearing walking gear and carrying rucksacksnIn actually fact I would say bordering on being quite rude.nNo matter what a customer buys it is good manners to at least say Thank you.nHe never spoke 1 word other than the amount required.nI would not be so keen to shop there again.
