Quite a large capacity for a small town. Spaces can usually be found, but in the summer months (when tourist numbers swell) it can fill up. It is a pay-and-display car park, so you will need a ticket.

It is very close to the town centre, with stairs leading down from the car park to the market place. There is also a wheelchair accessible ramp that zigzags down beside the stairs, and a further accessible path to the town centre using the pavement at the entrance to the car park.

There is a grassed area surrounding the car park with a couple of picnic tables. Finally, the car park is only 500 yards from the famous Wensleydale Creamery!
