Spa Experience Bethnal Green

Dirty, I wouldn't use the steam rooms because of the extensive mold - this can be a really issue for asthma suffers. The 'manager' on duty came in to shout at me as I wasn't willing to leave my bag with them as there were no lockers available. The centre manager was great when called and the spa manager was spoken to - everyone has bad days but you are surely in the wrong job if you can't be pleasant to customers. Treatment was 15 mins short however they gave me a voucher to use at another centre. Really disappointing as I find the Better Spa brand good value normally.

Booked a spa day for me and my sister at Bethnal Green. Cancelled by the spa at 24hours notice, no apology. It has been 3 weeks and they haven't give me a refund (£220). I've contacted their head office, I've tweeted them - no response. The head office keeps saying "we'll refer this to the spa manager" and the spa manager hasn't been in touch. Disgusting customer service. If I could give no stars, I would.

definitely avoid! The whole place smelled of feet and fungus. The woman at the reception was super unfriendly and told us without the hint of an excuse we’d have to leave early as the closing time had changed even though we had a booking. Finally there was a used band aid in the sauna and Qtips in the changing room.

I had been here not long after it was refurbished and had enjoyed my experience, however I was disappointed on my recent visit - the whole place smelt of damp, the aromatherapy rooms had no nice smell as they used to. Everywhere was dirty, and there were women in the hot rooms eating their lunch which was disgusting and very off putting.

My spa experience has always been extremely enjoyable at York Hall, the facilities that are available are great and I leave very relaxed and happy. I have been here three times and will definitely continue to be a regular.
