Not very often I'm speechless but.... I cannot get over how FANTASTIC the service we received was. Rocking up to rent a camper not really knowing what to expect we were immediately put at ease by Amy. She spent time going through everything we needed to know to have a good experience, and boy did we!! The Van itself came with all the bells and whistles and had everything we could ever need and more of we required it! Communication with Southampton Camper was first rate and I've already recommended them to everyone I know and "if" we haven't bought our own one soon then we will definitely be returning customers. Well done Peeps, and thanks for a great few days away!
We hired a camper for our trip around Scotland's NC500 and we couldn't recommend Southampton Campers highly enough. The van was amazing and came with everything we needed, and Amy spent time in the handover to explain how everything worked. Very impressed and rather sad to hand the keys back at the end of our trip! Can't wait for the next time.
Hi Took ‘Chloe the Camper’ to North Wales and had a great time. Excellent service from the company - friendly and helpful and took the time to show us the inner workings of the van. High spec, comfy ride and easy to operate. Would highly recommend and we will be looking to rebook
The whole experience with Southampton Campers was great. We had several questions before the rental as we hadn’t used a VW California before and they were all answered quickly and helpfully. Picking up the van was efficient but included a detailed introduction for use of the van and precautions to bear in mind. Darryl’s smartphone app is really useful to read before your holiday, and while on holiday as a refresher for the information provided upon pickup. The van was really clean and well maintained. Everything worked as it should and we had no problems during our 10 day rental concerning the van. We brought our own Vango driveaway awning which was great for additonal storage and living space. Darrell runs a professional operation. He was completely ready for us upon pickup and drop off. A small point perhaps, but I liked the fact that the van didn’t have rental company decals on it. All the basics are provided - mallet, ramps, electric hookup cable 25m, first aid kit, cups, plates, utensils etc. Southampton Campers also provides a list of optional extras. We asked for bedding to be provided and a mini-toilet. It’s a great holiday idea if you want to try before you buy, or you don’t want to spend £75k+ for a new or nearly-new van. Recommended.
We have just come back from our 2nd holiday with Southampton Campers . The vans are fabulous, in perfect condition and have everything you need for a really comfy holiday. Communication was excellent including all the information sent in advance. We really appreciated the time taken to show us everything before we drove off. Thoroughly recommend using this firm. Our first camper holiday and we couldn’t have chosen a better company. Our van “Jessica” was perfect for us and our 2 sausage dogs. We had a great handover which took us through how to setup everything. Jessica came with all you need for your holiday. We will definitely be booking another trip next year and I can’t recommend Southampton Campers enough.
Highly recommended… we hired Pheobe for a family trip around the country. Wales and England, over 18 days and 2000 miles. The camper was great. Everything worked as described and the service from Amy and Darryl throughout was impeccable. Can’t speak highly enough of the service from start to finish.
Hired a van for 8 days in late September, first time in a California……amazing!! It really is the Rolls Royce of Camper-vans. Daryl was really helpful from the first exploratory conversation right through the whole process. The communication is so well organised and professional. Timely but not excessive reminders on the upcoming trip, from payments to planning to the really fab user guide app. He was available to speak when needed both before the trip and during. Will absolutely be returning in 2023 for another adventure, possible two, in a Cali from Southampton Campers.
We hired Jade T6.1 for 2 weeks for a trip to the Outer Hebrides and west Scotland, and the experience was all the better for having such a great vehicle. Everything we needed was considered. All the latest tech too. Amy and Darryl were a great help prior to collection, and through the hire. We highly recommend Southampton Campers.
My wife and I hired "Chloe" for 3 nights. From the initial enquiry, thru the subsequent booking process, and then finally the pick-up and drop-off, Darryl and Amy at Southampton Campers were excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable, we were provided with a thorough orientation and demonstration of the various features on the VW campervan. Chloe was presented in an immaculate condition, fueled up and ready-to-go. Everything worked perfectly and the whole experience has now hastened our decision for buying our own VW California. For this trip, we stayed at Highlands End Holiday Park near Bridport in Dorset. The site came on the recommendation of Southampton Campers and it didn't disappoint despite the indifferent weather. If you like fantastic scenery and coastal walks then consider staying at Highlands End photo attached of Chloe looking magnificent on pitch #111. We highly recommend Southampton Campers and will be using them again...if we haven't bought our own in the meantime!
