Industry experts since 1875, Somerset Scientific Services provide specialist asbestos, water, workplace and environmental testing in the heart of the South West to local authorities, public bodies, businesses and the general public. Based in our brand new purpose built laboratory at J26 on the M5, we are ideally located to serve Somerset, Devon, Dorset, Bristol, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and beyond.
We are a Somerset County Council traded service, and are always happy to provide advice as a public service.

I cannot recommend them highly enough to anyone concerned about asbestos in their property. Highly knowledgeable, professional, incredibly helpful and offering the highest quality service. Beware of other companies offering similar services. SSS are a UKAS accredited lab and a very well led team. I genuinely would not trust anyone else to help me with any future asbestos issue. I don't normally leave reviews so that alone speaks volumes.

Scientific Services provide a professional and faultless service when testing our Private Water Source. Its straightforward & the only place around where small clients like ourselves can get our water tested, without an extortionate price tag!
