Solomon's Lounge specialises in offering you delectable Punjarbi/Kasmiri cuisine encased in luxurious authentic surroundings with customer service that is second to none. We offer a large selection of dishes such as Solomon's Kashmiri Ki Handi which uses a traditional cooking method, prepared on the bone and uses the finest selection of aromatic herbs and spices. For those with a milder palette you will adore our Gul Bahar, chicken or lamb cooked with coconut, almond, yoghurt mangoo puree, cream and rose water. Wow what a really lovely place, outside and in. The place in Nice and clean and tidy. The staff friendly. The meal was very nice and and great value for money, so was the drink. You can drive and park up close by and you can also get local bus service. Been here few times now and will definitely be back soon. I have already recommended to my friends and family
If we could give the staff a 10 for service we would. We turned up as a walk in only to find the restaurant were starting to clean down due to a quiet night. Instead of turning us away, we were shown a table and the staff agreed to stay late and provide a full menu. The food was amazing as always but its those small touches of excellent customer service that will make us return time and time again. Thank you for being so accommodating and providing a warm welcome. We will definitely be returning xxx
Last couple of takeaways have been disappointing. Not much flavour and far too watery madras. Get a lot less chicken than you used to. Used to be superb but I’m sat here with a madras which is being overpowered by the taste of naan, the sauce might as well be water. Hopefully just a blip but not sure I want to risk it again
Do not order from this takeaway. Our order last night was three hours late, we ordered at 7pm only for it to turn up after 10pm. It was cold, watery and undercooked. It was also missing some of the things we ordered. I will never ever use Solomon’s again. Over £50 and it went in the bin… Absolutely disgusting
Food wasn't too bad. Service was unorganised, sign to say wait to be seated but bar girl ignored us. Then staff looked clueless, maybe it was there first days. Menu's were dirty which is never a good lookFood: 4/5
We didn't have a good experience this time,at Solomon's restaurant. The food, service,atmosphere. not good.such a shame it used to be very nice. Don't know if Solomon's have changed management but it's definitely not the same as it used to be.Food: 1/5
Really enjoyed our evening here. We haven't been for years, but will have to make it more regular. Nice traditional decor inside, clean and tidy. Staff all really professional and attentive - all wearing covid visors and plenty of guidance inside for anyone worried about it. This is the first place we have been where they actually noted our contact details for us. So many places just leave track and trace to the customers - the majority who don't bother to complete it. Food was lovely, didn't have to wait too long especially when the restaurant was packed. I'm just gutted we waited so long to return!
Very disappointed I ordered food at 5 it was supposed to be delivered between 6.25 and 6.45 arrived at 7.40, food was cold and sauces very watery. I rang Solomons and advised them of this were very apologetic and they are issuing a credit note for full amount, hopefully food will be much better next time.
Initially a very warm and pleasing welcome, we were a party of 4 people, didn't wait long for our table but given our drink then forgot about, we were approached by a rather dower older gentleman who asked what we wanted for our mains, we advised we hand not had the pomps and pickles yet for the starter, he barked an order and the girls jumped to and sorted that quickly, I ordered a mawabi khan that is supposed to be a very authentic and complex dish, I have had this before and it was not up to scratch and looked and tasted very similar to the girls meals who weren't happy with there's either. We used to like that restaurant but off the menu for us now, we will be trying else where now.
I've never had any problems with the food from here - it's really good and I have recommended it to friends on numerous occasions. The service is brilliant and on the odd occasion there has been a mistake with my order, it has been rectified quickly and politely. Thank you :- I do need to let you know that one of your drivers has a bit of a problem - sorry! I've been meaning to mention this for a while, now. Every time I place an order, I write a note asking the driver to ring me, because I live 3 floors up, and can't always get to the door immediately I thought that was what the note part on the order was for. It's mostly fine, although there's just one driver who shouts at me if he has to ring me he never knocks the door first - the whole point of putting my number on is that I don't mind him calling if he's tried the door first. I have very good hearing, and 9 times out of 10 I am also downstairs when the driver shows up, so will hear the door. But I don't like being shouted at when I have paid for food. I stopped ordering for a while but got some food tonight as a one-off, and I am nearly in tears he was just ranting at me, repeatedly, as soon as I opened the door. I don't think I'm going to order again and that's a real shame because I was ordering every week multiple times a week, throughout the pandemic...
