I loved the place. It's family owned, good to have a nice coffee in the area and food. They have days where have some specials for which you book in advance. It's the beginning of the Camel trail as well.
Perfect place for breakfast! Eco cafe, off grid, and a lovely place to enjoy some quality food! We have heard about this cafe, but never visited before. So glad we did!Food: 5/5
Very, very tasty breakfast whether meat or vegan, nice quiet location. Really good pot of tea too. Friendly, welcoming staff. There was plenty on our plates and everything was really well cooked and very tasty. Definitely worth a detour if you're in a car, and surely mandatory stop if you are cycling by on the Camel trail. Vegetarian options: Very tasty vegetarian and vegan breakfast options. Parking: It's a small Cornish back road but there's room for 10+ cars when you get there. Most people are coming by bike on the Camel Trail.
Cycled from Padstow and was planning on grabbing a sandwich or beans on toast with my lad before cycling back. The food is very 'middle class', not a cheese sarnie or baked bean in sight. So we went for a cream tea, which was really good, my son wanted a coke but they only had an organic offering that was a bit weird. It's nice but just don't expect to get normal cafe food...a bit niche considering the location. Staff friendly and outside tap to fill up your water bottles
After a wild camp on the motor, I rode 12 miles to get breakfast. The cafe was closed. Closed on Mondays. It wasn't so bad for me as my son, who had to ride 4 miles to the closest pub, then 24 miles back. It might not have seemed so bad if the evening before, when I had arrived at 4, it was also closed. One day I might find it open. Maybe next time I'll triple check Google maps info.!
Little cafe on Camel Valley cycle trail. Simple meals and snacks. Prides itself in being "off grid" with solar power and smelly composting toilet.
Love cream teas? Then this is a must visit! We had something of a cream tea tour over two weeks in Cornwall and visited all the places the guidebooks recommend... We thought we'd discovered the best cream tea in Tintangel, but Snail's Pace cafe beats them all! We also popped back for other delicious items on their menu including the vegetarian breakfast - probably the best savoury item we are whilst in Cornwall other than Hake and chips in Padstow. Staff were lovely too and can make changes to most dishes if required they added some bacon to my Vege breakfast at my request. this place!
Happened upon this cafe completely by chance in the closing stages of my JOGLE. It had been raining all day so I didn’t hesitate to pop in for a hot drink and a snack. Was spoiled for choice in the cake selection but decided on my first cream tea as I had reached Cornwall. Service was quick and the scone was delicious, mountains of jam and cream. Due to the rain I had the place to myself but was entertained by the owners superb eighties playlist
Ideally situated on the Camel Trail. Enjoyed a coffee and cake here halfway through a long cycle ride. Toilets a bit smelly!Food: 5/5
Wow what a great place, great food, great atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Will definitely recommend for those who prefer quiet locations.Food: 5/5
