I have been an SMC loyal customer For the last 10 years and have purchased 2 brand new Mitsubishi shoguns from SMC Hillingdon. I have also purchased 2 new vehicles from SMC ford slough, and have introduced 2 friends who also both purchased new vehicles. The sales staff from both branches was excellent! My first service on my ford Ranger was due, I telephoned the SMC call centre to book my vehicle in, when I telephoned the call centre I was also advised that the Ranger had a recall on it, and could be done on the same day, which I booked in along with a courtesy car. Approx half an hour later the same lady rings me to say that both jobs are too big to do on the same day, So i then had to book the service on the Monday and recall was to be done the following Thursday so had to be done on two separate days! I arrived at Ford slough service centre on the Monday morning, I gave the receptionist my name and car registration, she said I can’t see any booking for you today, you are booked in on Thursday. I explained the phone call from the call service centre, the receptionist just kept repeating it’s booked in Thursday, no matter how many times I tried to explain she just kept repeating it’s booked in Thursday! Her attitude was condescending, she had very little interest in the problem. I understand mistakes are made but there is no excuse for rudeness. Apologies have been given by staff, but not for the their rude and Condescending attitude but for the mix up of days. The sale people/managers always give excellent service, offering deals to get you to buy a vehicle, but once a customer you are treated with disrespect and of no importance. I will be looking elsewhere for my new vehicle which I’m planning on buying in the new year.
The welcome was not good, I was left standing while the assistant aimlessly looking down at the desk without acknowledging me. However, when i was passed over to Simon Elliot that was very good. Simon was great, his customer service skills was excellent and even when I collected the vehicle he answered my query and spoke to my mechanic as I needed to do some other work. Please pass on my thanks to him.
Very poor experience. Brought car in for routine service, advised it would take an hour max. 1.5 hrs when booking, so planned to wait there instead of collecting at end of day. Ended up being there for over 3.5 hours, and was given incorrect information by the receptionist 3 times regarding how much longer it would take - Not a single apology was offered for the delay - There was no sense of urgency - Kept telling me the wrong time that it would be completed. If they were aware it would take 3 hours, they should have just told me from the start so I could have planned my time more effectively. Fortunately, I don't have to return here again and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone else, until this provider learns to respective other people's time.
Lack of communication. Service delayed due to extra AC treatment that I asked for but it was not actually done due to equipment failure. Poor excuse... It lead to delay allowing them not to wash the car and even though they did not do additional service the car was left unwashed with glovebox items left on the floor. Lack of respect for my possession left in the car. Will not return there for sure.
‪Updated review as two managers, Karl and Simon, got involved and dealt with the issue professionally. The review is for the SMC Service Centre West Drayton. ‪I have been spoken by, India might not have the correct name in a way that I have never heard. She was rude, she has questioned my integrity, she will not listen. Terrible!! Simon the manager is investigating the issue. ‬
Nice Reception/Waiting Area. Friendly and helpful staff; Free coffee provided; Car washed inside and out after service
Had my Motability car serviced here. Staff were friendly and helpfull. Offered coffee whilst waiting. Public restrooms available.
We were booked in for am M.O.T. & service. Very efficient service. Waiting area had vending machines for drinks & confectionary. Also a t.v. to aid your wait.
Disagreeable,unfriendly,racists,woman serving very cheeky,They do not answer the phone and do not call back later,Ask for everything and they will pay for repairs,The car after service the dirty returned to me,I am disappointed not to recommend!!!!
Parts department are a good bunch! Service department leave a lot to be desired! Expensive servicing!
