Lovely quiet walk. Watch out for wet dogs off their leads though!. You may be rewarded with sights of heron, egret, kingfisher, trout, Miller's Thumb etc ... and in tributaries the American Crayfish which is slowly denuding them if life!
Lovely, peaceful stroll. Views of herons, egrets, kingfishers, trout, Miller's Thumb, and other birds may be your reward. In tributaries, however, the American Crayfish is steadily robbing them of their lives!Visited onPublic holidayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Beautiful place for lovely relaxing walk Lots of wildlife to watch
Lovely nature reserve to wander about in with frequent places to stop and sit.
A really lovely, relaxing space. Great for exploring, dog walking and entertaining the kids with a bit of nature. It's very well kept there's a local litter picking group that keep on top of it and the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust do a great job maintaining the area.
Quite a busy pathway with dog walkers and not as big as I was expecting but still a lovely hidden gem for a little wander if you are visiting the park. The signage could be better at the end of the path but bear round to left and join next path way on the bend in road and it will take you back to the Park.
Great for a quiet walk. Usually lots of wildlife around - I've seen rabbits, swans, woodpeckers, pheasants, herons, and even a couple of deer. Family and dog friendly though dogs need to be leashed, lots of wildlife around and one of the paths goes through a field of cows!.
Beautiful place to blow the cobwebs away.
Lovely free pace to walk the dogs. There is Lakeside Park one end and across the dias the other way is another beautiful short stroll through woodland up to an open space, a seating area and a steam.
Easily accessible open space with a wealth of wildlife. Good for children but parents need to be aware of open water. Sturdy paths for easy walking. I have seen someone in a small motorised wheelchair here.
