they were extremely friendly and helpful and helped me find the right board for me, as this was one of the first proper skate boards I have gotten. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and I recommend everyone who wants to get a skateboard to go there. Plus they have a great selection of graphics
Great vibe, and cool hidden away location. Slam City is a really cool place to buy all your skateboard essentials. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and weren't pressuring me to buy anything. My only advice is to check the website before you visit in-store since they have different decks in 'the back' that you may prefer to the the ones on display.
Best skate shop in London! The guys are super cool and friendly, they even fix your axels free of charge. Got everything you need to keep skating and great customer service.
Great guys. Stayed open late for me so I could get there in time when my board got nicked and i needed to score the right replacement trucks for a rapid rebuild. Their sacrifice of 20mins scored me an extra skate-day and deserves my gratitude. It's also a pretty cool shop, of course - absolutely masses of decks to choose from.
No sizes in any shoes and super small selection, nothing like their website. If you're hoping to try stuff don't bother going, plus staff are rude. I get its a skate shop but would it kill them to say 'sorry we don't have these' or 'bye' or 'thank you'. One star for useless stock and utterly indifferent staff.
Great place with awsome and friendly staff and a great collection
Small store down a pedestrian alley way. I went to purchase a helmet, wanted to check the size in person. I had checked their website previoisly to makesure they had a selection in store of various sizes/brands. It says they have lots. But when I arrived they had a very small selection and only one brand. I did buy a helmet but was a little disappointed. Service was ok. Maybe they should update the website more often.
Unwelcoming staff and the stock was limited. Hopefully this was just an ‘off’ day!
After receiving great advice and help from the crew at Slam on Dray Walk, I bought a set up for myself and my daughter. The grip tape service and advice was an added bonus. Top work!
For my 42nd birthday, my wife and two kids took me to slam to buy my first new setup in twenty years. Because of Covid we had the shop to ourselves. I couldn't find the deck I wanted so they guys unboxed an entire new delivery of boards until I found what I needed. They helped me choose all my bits while reminiscing about the good old days and telling me which companies sprang up from the remains of the ones I used to know. Then they built my setup while I went for a nice lunch. I came back and rolled away a happy man. Thank you slam city! Now I'm off to break an ankle...
