The Sky Garden in London is a truly breathtaking experience, offering panoramic views of the city from a lush, botanical oasis high above the bustling streets. Located on the top floors of the iconic “Walkie Talkie” building, it combines modern architecture with natural beauty in a way that’s both refreshing and impressive.nnWhat sets the Sky Garden apart is its open, airy layout and the abundance of greenery. It doesn’t feel like a typical observation deck. Instead, it’s a peaceful, almost tropical retreat, with plenty of seating areas where you can relax and soak in the scenery. The views stretch across London, showcasing landmarks like Tower Bridge, The Shard, and St. Paul’s Cathedral. Watching the sunset from this vantage point is truly magical.nnThe dining options are a pleasant surprise as well. Whether you’re stopping by for a coffee, a cocktail, or a meal, the food and drink offerings feel thoughtfully curated. The staff are friendly and attentive, adding to the overall charm of the experience.nnWhile entry is free, booking ahead is essential due to its popularity. The only minor downside is that it can get a bit crowded during peak times, but it’s well worth the visit. Sky Garden offers a serene escape in the heart of London.
Our second time in visiting The Sky Garden. The first was in 2021 when we visited early evening to watch the sunset, this time we visited with our daughter for drinks in the evening and had a great time.nnOur visit was in January and it was chilly. Luckily the seats we had, had heated cushions.nnThe gardens are based over three floor with great views over London in multiple directions. My favourite view being the Tower of London and Tower Bridge.nnThe main bar is the largest area and also has a music and dance area. There is a second bar on the top level at the back.nnThe drinks are about normal for London at about £16 plus service charge at time of writing. The menu offers a small range but they will make others as well.nnYou are given a reservation for 1 1/2 hours but depending on how busy it is they don't chase you out, this is a great place to spend a evening as you get somewhere to sit, table service and a chance to have a dance.nnWe had a good time, and its definitely worth checking out.
I absolutely loved it. The views were fantastic. Perfect for a romantic time or just to relax looking at the city from the above. Too crowded though, even on Tuesday. We arrived right before 10 am, as had breakfast booked at one of the restaurants. It was still quiet at this point. At 11 am mega full already.nSecurity guy with absolutely no manners and is rude, he should not work in this environment, with people. Clearly some foreigner. And I'm not trying to be racist, as I am foreigner too, with the difference that I do not work in the public sector and do not serve people. Other than him, everyone was lovely and helpful.nWill be back for sure
Had a good first time experience in Sky Garden. I enjoyed the 360 degrees view of London’s skyline from the 35th floor of the well-known scenic view. It’s free, you just need to book the entry ticket online from their website and choose the best time slot for your visit.
Either book tickets well in advance if you want to visit for free.nnOtherwise there is always an option to book a table in any of the restaurants. And you get priority entrance.nnWent in Feb nice and clear day. Amazing views. Definitely highly recommended.
