Sky Garden

We visited London for the first time and contemplated how to get the best skyline view of the capital.. We decided on the Sky Garden over The London Eye and The Shard mainly because it was free and we weren't disappointed! What an amazing viewpoint. You can walk the full 360° atop this 35 storey building with great visibility on a clear day. There's even little stickers on the glass telling you what you can see. You'll need to go online to book your free tickets about a week before, just set a reminder on your phone. We didn't bother stopping for food or drinks but it looks a great place to grab a coffee. We were so impressed with this place we said it was the highlight of our 3 day trip! It's definitely an under-estimated attraction and best of all; it's free :)

Loved this place! It's free, has spectacular views and you can enjoy some refreshments or food. It has an outdoor balcony for some.phenomenal London skyline pics. There is also some great strategic seating to enjoy views and didn't get too crowded the whole time we were there. We went with 2 toddlers- 18 mo and 3yo. Super child friendly atmosphere (kids are only allowed till 6) and child friendly staff as well. Did I mention, there is a wonderful collection of plants too! Only downside were the bathrooms- highly inconvenient to have broken down bathrooms and a long line for the working ones.

Absolutely amazing! Can't believe it is free! It is one of the best views I've seen of London so far. Booking is not at all difficult if you do it on a Monday. It is obvious why they book out so quickly. The views are stunning. With 360 degree floor to ceiling windows you can't miss anything. They limit the amount of tickets so that it is never busy. There is also plenty of seating. The drinks are reasonably priced for the view and free entrance, however I did not try anything. Elevator up was extremely fast and staff were lovely. The only downside was that I went on a miserable day. However it has only urged me to come back more. Will definitely return to purchase food and drink and show friends and family. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting London. But make sure to book tickets in advance (Monday 2 weeks earlier than visit).

We went for the brunch. It cost £45 each but was worth every penny. Lots to choose from for starters and dessert, which you can eat as much as you want. We both had a lovely main. Very friendly staff and great views over London. you get 2 hours slots to eat, which is long enough to sit,relax and take in the fantastic views.

Well worth the trip up, and it is refreshing that places like this are free to visit. Plenty of space up the top, once you've gone through airport style security at the bottom. Easy enough to get a drink up there as there is so much space but if you want to eat I highly recommend you book in advance as the brasserie and restaurant are crowded. Ate in the brasserie and the fish was excellent, particularly the ray.
