As a tourist, I have been to London a couple times but this is the first time I made it to the legendary Dishroom. With the great reputation and the long lines outside on a weekday, I was having very high expectations. I would say it’s good but probably not as great as I have imagined. Still, they got a menu of great variety and some very intriguing Indian fusion dishes that were very delightful. The portion was relatively small, the price was quite fair, which was a pleasant surprise for us. Their atmosphere and service were definitely on the top notch. I guess the only downside would be the long waiting time, but I would still recommend checking this place out if you haven’t done so yet!
We had our first meal here on our first day arriving London. Guess what,it turned out to be the most delicious meal in our 10days trip. We walked in before 5pm, got a table right away, but by the time we leaving, a long line of people were waiting outside. We even saw the same long line on our way back to hotel after we walked around for 2hrs. The food was yummy, service was even better. I liked cheese naan the best, soft and chewy. I was glad that my picky eater daughter approved this meal. We also tried the one in Edinburgh, somehow we felt this location tasted better.
Stopped in here for a late dinner based off a recommendation from an acquaintance. My wife and I both really enjoy Indian food, and are always excited to try a new place. This place did not disappoint!nEven though we got there late, the place was still packed. We were able to be seated quickly, however, and the service was very good. We had drinks and appetizers, which were excellent. we shared a few small plates which were excellent. The food is fairly spicy, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but certainly there is some heat!nHighly recommended!
Wow where do I begin. This restaurant was recommended and they were so right. The food is fantastic and staff attentive friendly and we asked for their recommendations- yes he was right to the point we ordered another portion.nAll the food was tasty, the ambiance brilliant and the cocktail a must.nIt was very busy even at 5pm and glad I made a booking, it numbers didn’t take anything away from it all.nThey had plenty of staff, service excellent and quick.nA massive tick on the list of restaurants to go back to
My visit to Dishoom in London was an experience filled with flavors, hospitality, and a touch of nostalgia. Despite not having reservations, the wait in line was around 25-30 minutes, but it was well worth it. What stood out to me was their excellent service and thoughtful gesture of complimentary wine for those waiting in line. It’s little touches like these that make a big difference.nnOnce inside, I was impressed by the friendly staff and the organized systems in place. The ambiance and decor added to the overall experience, transporting me to the bustling streets of Bombay.nnAs for the food, everything was incredibly tasty. However, I couldn’t help but feel that the portions were a bit on the smaller side, especially considering the prices. While I understand the concept of quality over quantity, I would have expected a bit more for the price or a slightly cheaper bill for the amount of food received.nnOverall, Dishoom offers a delightful dining experience with its delicious food, warm hospitality, and inviting ambiance. Despite the minor issue with portion size, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and would recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine in London.
