Great day out at Skipton. Strolled around shops and market. Road closed for market to allow pedestrians more access to stalls. Excellent takeaway fish n' chips from Bizzies eaten in church grounds in glorious sunshine. Worked off the calories with a lovely woodland walk through the Castle woods managed by The Woodland Trust. Glorious tulips in private garden across from Bailey Street car park.
Nice little town. Went to the Castle .nThen had a wander through the town.nHad a look around the church too.
Very large car park. Watch out for the pot holes though. There that big you could have a bath in them
Plenty of spaces available, we arrived about 11am Friday morning. Has hone ip since last year £4.50 for 4 hrs.
Convenient and next to nice chippy but the speed bumps and big potholes on way in are tyre and car destroying
