Specialising in non-surgical aesthetic and cosmetic treatments, including anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, chemical peels and more to ensure each client looks and feels fantastic.

Story

Founded by Helena and Darryl Collier in 2005, the fundamental aim of Skintalks was to introduce the most effective aesthetic treatments throughout Edinburgh, the Lothians and the South of Scotland. Today, our treatment menu is filled with the latest non surgical aesthetic services, which are carried out in a relaxing and stylish setting, located on the outskirts of Edinburgh and within easy reach of the Edinburgh City Bypass.

As a leader in the field of Aesthetic Medicine in Scotland, we only invest in products and technology that have been rigorously tried and tested and have been proven to deliver outstanding results. Our Clinic Director, Helena Collier is at the forefront of Aesthetic Medicine and is considered a leading light in this elite industry.

A highly skilled practitioner who trained in Harley Street London with two of the finest doctors in the field of medical aesthetics, Helena is an experienced clinician who has recently become one of the first Health Practitioners in the UK to achieve the Post Graduate Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine with a commendation from Greenwich University London, and she is currently working towards the prestigious Masters Degree in Cosmetic Medicine at Greenwich University London.

Passionate about her chosen field and with a strong commitment to ensure all of her clients receive the highest standard of aesthetic medical care, Helena regularly attends by exclusive invitation, Seminars, Conferences and Facial Aesthetic Master classes with world leaders in the field of aesthetics such as Dr Mauricio De Maio and Dr Koenraad De Boulle to further her knowledge and expertise.

Kerry is incredibly knowledgeable about skin and the skin care products available at the clinic. She has started me on a tailored skincare regime for my acne. My skin has come on so far in the space of a couple months! I am feeling confident again and can't thank Kerry and Helena enough for all they have done! Highly recommend Skintalks to anyone needing help with their skin!
Went in to have a skin tag removed and ended up with a 10 day black eye. Apparently my skin is too old and fragile - not mentioned before treatment. Also did not stop therapist turning machine up to use more power and trying to burn the thing off my face. Not interested in welfare of client. Got the impression that as long as you had paid then issue for them was closed. No interest in pain, embarrassment and disfigurement caused. It's not nice having to constantly explain why you have a black eye and a bruised and swollen face. Was considering for other treatments - definitely not now. I still have skin tag. They suggested that I went back and let them try it again. Find another salon. Not recommended.
Helena was recommended to me by a friend and I am so glad she was. I first attended her clinic in December 2011 and have only ever been pleased with the results of what treatments I have had. I initially had botox in my forehead but then I wanted filler around my mouth area. I was delighted with the results and whilst no one actually noticed any difference in me - they did notice something ie was I wearing different make-up etc - do I do my own eyebrows, they couldn't pin point what exactly it was. I have had several appointments to keep my skin wrinkle free and 'filled' and I feel better and better with every visit. It just makes me feel and look fresher. Apart from the excellent treatment, Helena and her husband Darryl are just lovely people. They are warm and welcoming and always always friendly. They are a great team. I will continue with my treatments with Helena and Darryl and would recommend her to anyone. Professional at all levels but with personal and sensitive qualities also. Thank you both. Helena collier is so warm and friendly. She is highly skilled and has a great understanding into what treatment suits you best and she won't allow you to over do it. It's all about a natural look. I have confidence in her every time I see her. Lovely clinic, great location and easy to get to. Always available parking either right outside clinic or on a nearby side street, which is free and less than a minutes walk away.
I have been to skintalks on numerous occasions and have always found the staff very helpful and professional. I have had skin tags removed effectively and have purchased some great skin care from skin talks. I was shown different products I could buy and was advised which would be most worthwhile within my budget. This has really improved my skin and given me so much more confidence! Fabulous clinic and fabulous staff!
I have been a Skintalks client for several years and all my experiences with the clinic have been very positive. Both Helena and Kerry are both welcoming and show a level of proffessionalism that always sets you at ease. The clinic itself reflects this level of proffessionalism, creating a great envirnoment and experience all round.
