There is more to the Bayswell Park Hotel & Spa than its fantastic location. With a restaurant and modern bar, one can indulge in some really delicious food created by our chef who believes in local sourcing and creating dishes using only the freshest of ingredients.

Our aim is to make Bayswell Park Hotel & Spa one of the premier places to dine in East Lothian in a friendly and welcoming environment. Whilst dining, you can enjoy the stunning and panoramic sea-views set against an ever-changing skyline from brilliant blue to glorious shades of crimson as sunset approaches.

Booking in advance is recommended, particularly at weekends. We also endeavour to help the local business community and work closely with local suppliers.

The hotel is in a lovely location. The views are amazing, we got a wee Groupon deal, the food was ace. Sadly though the hotel was lacking in staff.. It took ages to get served and it really let the place down. I know sometimes things can't be helped but you'd of expected the management or owners to make some kind of effort or even call bookings to advise they are down on staff. All in all, I would go back to try again in hope the service is better.

Before continuing to read this review, please note that my room was booked for 4 nights; I could only stand 1 night before booking somewhere else. I should also say that the reason for this booking is purely because my own bathroom is being renovated. A night’s sleep and a hot shower was all that was required. Don’t be fooled by the up-market appearance of the entrance, luxurious carpet, bar area, restaurant etc because once you step out of the hall (which may contain a pile of dirty bedsheets) and into your room, you may well be in for a surprise. The smell of the dirty carpet, the dusty surfaces, the mix ‘n’ match furniture, the unpainted window ledge, the open fuse switches, the light fitting held up with cable ties. I could go on. The final straw after a very broken night’s sleep was the cold shower. I left the shower on ‘hot’ for a good 10 minutes, nothing. That’s all I wanted for my £247, some sleep and a hot shower before work. By all means try the fancy bar and the fancy restaurant menu, however take my advice and DO NOT stay here. EDIT : TO add insult to injury, i have been charged £64.40 for 'food and drinks' that have been charged to my room. I have had to report this to American Express as fraud, The Bayswell will not respond to my emails.

We stayed here 03/02/18 for a treat after recently having our son. After reading the reviews on here we weren't sure about going however we wanted to see it for ourselves. We honestly couldn't fault it one bit, the staff were welcoming and attentive, room was perfect, clean and warm. We stayed in room 24 which is a hot tub suite and we certainly got what we paid for, we told the hotel before coming it was a special occasion and they put out balloons and banners for us which was a lovely touch. Breakfast the next day was great as well and great choice of food also. All in all I wouldnt go by the reviews some people have left because I think they are simply picking minor faults, try the place for yourself. We will certainly be returning and bringing our son with us next time hopefully during the summer!

Funky hotel. Lovely interior. Great views of the sea out back. Also in easy walking distance of the town. Very good food

On arrival to the 'Bayswell Hotel', a member of staff held the door open for my husband and myself as I'm on crutches. We were then welcomed by a very cheery waiter. We explained that we had pre-booked a table through 'Groupon' for a two course lunch and he then showed us to our seats. I had requested a window seat whilst booking, and was promised table 5 which apparently has the best view over the bay, but we were given a little table at the wall. From what I could see, our pre-booked seats were taken. This would be my only criticism of our experience, as the service, the meal, and the relaxed atmosphere was lovely. We would definitely recommend this place, and hopefully return in the near future.
