699 is by far one of the friendliest salons in Solihull, I have been going there for the past 6 years and have always had lovely service and great hair cuts. I never worry how my hair will turn out as i have never been disappointed. Gareth is my regular stylist who is just lovely and knows my hair well. The shampoo & head massage experience is just what you need after a hard day in the office leaving you feeling relaxed and less stressed.  699 use the best hair products which leaves your hair looking,feeling and smelling beautiful. I love the way the salon is towards the back of the shop as this gives you more privacy.so much better than sitting in shop windows for every one to see you !!! I have got to know the staff very well and they all always make me feel so welcome, I personally would recommend 699 to anyone and can't imagine going any where else.

I have been going to six nine nine for 5 years now and I would never go anywhere else. I get my colour, cut and nails done and it is perfect everytime! They really cater to your every need and listen to what you actually want. Not to mention their new coffee machine is very tasty. I am always recommending my friends and they are always happy. They even offer a free consultation if you feel a little unsure and you just wanted a chat about your hair!  Very happy customer!

Great salon, 5 star service! I have been going to Six Nine Nine for about 5 years now, I've never had a bad word to say about them. They always manage to squeeze me in last minute which is great and I always enjoy a friendly chat and a cuppa while I'm having my hair done.

I have just been to 699 for my routine wash/cut/blowdry today with Gareth, and as always I can not fault the whole experience and love my hair!! I have always found it difficult to find a hairdressers who understands how to deal with my curly hair, and when I found 699 7 years ago, I could not believe how much I loved the way they cut my hair, and always have. I have lived in london for the last 8 years, and no matter what I always get my hair cut and coloured at 699 everytime I come back to Birmingham to visit my family. All the team at 699 are always helpful and friendly and do excellent jobs! I will never go anywhere else and I definitly recommend anyone looking for a friendly hairdressers with great stylist, and an all round excellent experience to go here! You wont regret it!

I am very sorry to say that this was without a doubt the worst hair cut experience I have ever had. I do have a regular salon I go to, however it is a little drive out and I was desperate for a haircut before I went on holiday. This salon is around the corner from me, so thought I would give it a go. I had the 25% off voucher being my first time there. I went on a Thursday night when they are open late and got a last minute 8pm appt. When I arrived, there was nobody on reception, and I was told by the lady doing the nails to sit down and someone would come soon. So I sat down and eventually when someone did come out from the back to the recpetion desk, they didn't even acknowledge that I was there! I got up again to let them know I was there, afterwhich she went to let the stylist know I was there. The stylist came out pretty much slopping her feet, took a "cover coat", walked over to me and simply handed it out to me - no greeting or anything. After putting it on me, she just turned and walked - I didn't know whether to follow or not due to the lack of communication. When she realised I wasn't moving, she turned to me and signalled to me whilst muttering something to follow. She did a very quick consultation with me, then took me through to have my hair washed. She did this within about 2 minutes flat, with a half hearted attempt at massaging the conditioner in. She didn't rinse the conditioner / shampoo out of my hair properly before finishing. We then went back to the seat to cut my hair. To be fair to her she did make a bit of a conversation and responded to my attempt to make conversation a bit, but she clearly didn't want to be there. She was telling me that they had been so busy all day and some of the stylists were on holiday so she was really tired, which is fair enough, but don't do someone's hair half heartedly if it's the last thing you feel like doing! She then proceeded to "cut" my hair - it was more like chopping! I asked 1-1.5 inches off, just a tidy up, but she took easily 2 inches off! My hair is so short now! She hardly touched my existing layers to tidy them up, and I had to ask her to blend them in. Still now, I have "blocks" in my hair where the layers just don't blend in at all! At the beginning I asked her to tidy up and thin out my fringe, and make it more like a side fringe. All she did was a bit of trim on it - I had to ask her to blend it in more, and make it more like a side fringe, which she did, but still not what I asked for originally. She then blow dried and straightened my hair without using any heat protection at all! My hair felt horrible afterwards, not sure what shampoo and conditioner was used, but I couldn't wait to get home and wash it out! The whole thing lasted less than half an hour! I really couldn't believe it! Still now, a few days later, my hair feels horrible and I feel like I need to go to my usual hairdresser and pay again to fix what was done at this salon!
