Expensive disappointment! My usual hair salon were fully booked for this day and after reading the reviews for Regis Solihull and feeling unsure, I decided to call them to ensure I had a highly experienced stylist. I should have taken heed from the reviews but I was assured that the stylist is the salon trainer and I would be in their best hands. I asked for all my layers to be cut back into shape as my hair had grown very long. What I ended up with is a trim as my layers have barely been cut. I am always asked what sort of blow dry I would like but the stylist chose to curl it so the layers weren’t noticeable until I got home and they had fallen out to reveal unshapely hair. My stylists also always trim my layers after the blow dry for perfect definition leaving a very professional finish. The cut I had is very amateur and for £56 a very costly mistake. I was sent a text to recommend the salon and I explained my annoyance. No response or offer to recut was offered. Will definitely not be returning. The two stylists who received all the positive reviews here have both left the salon.Service: Hairstyling

I was looking for a new hairdresser having moved to Shirley, and read the reviews about Regis which seemed OK. I booked a 4pm appointment online and had it confirmed by email. The cost was £52 for a cut and dry and I paid a £26 deposit. I left work early to attend and arrived at the salon, both stylists were busy, one washing hair and one blow drying. One came over and asked if she could help, I explained that I had a 4pm appointment. She looked v.confused by this and went over to speak to her colleague who was washing a client's hair. I over heard this stylist say "... just tell her she'll have to wait...". The first stylist then returned to say that they weren't able to do the 4pm appointment and that I would need to wait, no apology, and was very blasé. I explained that I had booked for 4pm and had left work to attend the appointment. She shrugged and said there was nothing she could do. I asked how long the wait would be and she said at least half an hour as her colleague was with a client and she ..."wasn't able to do it". The second stylist had only just finished washing her client's hair so I was in for a much longer wait. I was very frustrated by this and so asked for them to refund my deposit and I would try my luck elsewhere. The stylist said that they were unable to refund the deposit as I had booked on the app, I would need to claim a refund through the app. I left and tried to claim my money back on the app and it had no record of my booking. I tried both Regis customer service numbers, neither even connect. Eventually I was able to email and have now had my money back. For £52 a cut I expect to be treated far better than this. Regis there is too much competition in Solihull for your staff to be this rude and unhelpful.
Prices hv risen very much. I used to pay £35 for a walk in . I had a voucher for £7.50 off. So I booked. For a trim wash and blow dry It was £48.50 !!!!after £7.50 discount. Nice place and convenient. But too expensive for me now .Service: Hairstyling
Mediocre. Appointment at 2, out before 2.30 for a shampoo, cut and style. For £56 it felt a little rushed. Have had much better experiences elsewhere for the same cost.Service: Hairstyling
I had a much needed cut and blow dry with Kiera. So relaxing I almost fell asleep! She gave me some really helpful information about hair styling my new cut without any attempts to upsell products. She was so lovely and I came out with exactly what I wanted. I look forward to my next visit.
A very disappointing experience unfortunately. I phoned last Monday morning, as my normal hairdresser had to cancel my appointment for later that day, I was told that if I came in as a walk in client then the cost would be £35. I arrived about an hour later to a completely empty salon and asked if they could fit me in to which the reply was yes but not until later that afternoon, when all the staff seemed to be doing was standing around chatting. I then had to spend two and a half hours trying to kill time in Solihull until my appointment. I have now been left with a terrible cut and the most uneven layers I have seen in my life. Also when the stylist came to blowdry I asked if I could have some mousse put in as my roots sit flat to my head without it, she smiled and said yes of course and then proceeded to not do it and just carry on drying my hair. By the time she had finished I had a headache from how much she had pulled at my hair with the brush and not to mention that I’ve received a more professional looking finish at a training college that I didn’t then have to go home and sort out myself. To top it all off she didn’t even check the cut at the end to make sure there was no graduation, which working in the hairdressing industry myself, I know there is always something to tidy up when the hair has been dried. Finally, I was charged £56 for the privilege when I was told it would be £35. Not impressed at all.Service: Hairstyling
I have been visiting Regis hair salon Solihull for the past 5 years. I have always received a warm , friendly welcome . The staff are all professional and expert at their job. Demi , my hairdresser is superb , I always leave with a wonderful cut and colour . ThankyouServices: Hair coloring
Visited on Sunday and had my hair cut by Kiera. The online booking system was so easy to use and really convenient. An appointment on a Sunday was perfect for me. Kiera was fantastic, listened to what I wanted and took time cutting my hair exactly as I wanted it. I'm quite fussy, so she took time checking the cut afterwards and spent a long time shaping the cut brilliantly. I've been able to style it myself at home and I feel amazing. It's a 'big' birthday for me this week and I feel like I've been brought up to date! Will definitely be back and a massive thank you to Kiera.Service: Hairstyling
