Story

Sinclair Jewellers has had the first jewellery manufacturing workshop in Wimbledon London since 1983. The shop was founded by Mr Vara and with over 30years experience in the industry, his wealth of knowledge, understanding and dedication spans throughout this exclusive Boutique. Being a local family run business, Sinclair Jewellers prides itself on its family values running through the company. We aim to showcase the very best in Fine Jewellery design and craftsmanship as well as to pioneer exclusive online luxury.

All of our Jewellery is designed and crafted by ourselves in our in-house workshop. As part of our professional service portfolio, Sinclair's offers an engraving service to most gifts and items that can add that personal touch and our watchmaker who has been with us for twenty years performs all our in-store horological services. We offer not only basic watch repairs and adjustments but we also offer a comprehensive overhaul and clean to modern and antique watches. We can change watch batteries and adjust watch straps usually on the same day while you shop.

We also offer a Bespoke service, which starts from a personal consultation with Mr Vara, who is a certified Gemologist with a wealth of experience and knowledge, to create one-off pieces of Jewellery that go beyond your expectation's.

It doesn't happen many times in life deciding  to propose to your girlfriend and finding the perfect ring for the occasion... this is why when the moment comes you can only hope to find a professionist who's passionate and dedicated  to take care of your needs. This is what I found in Sinclair Jewellers, Mr.Peter has helped me figure out what I was looking for when  I didn't  even know where to start.. So if you like me have just the desire to find the perfect engagement ring at a reasonable price but don't  have any idea where to go or what to do , Sinclair Jewellers is what you are looking for.. Great service, very cheerful, always good quality. I had a gold chain that kept breaking from somewhere else - took it to Sinclair’s they were knowledgeable and efficient and the new chain hasn’t broken once in over 2 years. Very impressed. Highly recommend

Absolutely amazing service I’ve had a really unfortunate experience at the jewellers two doors along, so I went into Sinclair And they really turned the day around they were extremely helpful very professional knew exactly what they were talking about was able to fulfil my requests with no hesitation honestly couldn’t recommend them enough. They gave me peace of mind and reassurance. Cannot wait to pick the item up.

I came into the shop to have my watch bracelet shortened. Peter was very kind and accommodating, he managed to do it very quickly and with compliments which was a very nice gesture as I was prepared to pay. Peter and the team are incredible. I had such support in helping to buy an engagement ring and they've been brilliant. Top customer service and there every step of the way to ensure that the final ring was exactly what I wanted.  I never write reviews but sometimes you have to because the service and quality of product is so high.  Cannot recommend enough, thank you Peter and the team!

Peter was truly lovely and gave us a personalised service with so much of his time. My fiancé was having a problem with chain/high street jewellers where he found them quite uncaring and transactional, but Sinclair's is not like this at all!  We bought 2 platinum rings there, both are being created from scratch because of the options we chose and Steven kindly offered to resize and polish my engagement ring for free too! Can't recommend them enough

We just picked up our wedding rings from Sinclairs. We absolutely love them, exactly what we wanted and brilliant quality. Also very reasonably priced and we have had brilliant service throughout. Overall just a great experience!

I first purcased an engagement ring online, which I found to be a huge mistake - the images make them look incredible but, in person, they look cheap.  Sinclair handmade a wonderful ring for me - the design was simple and beautiful - exactly what I was looking for.

In August 2022, I began planning my engagement to my now-wife, and we got married in London in December 2023. In the lead-up to proposing, I explored various options for an engagement ring. Having lived in London my entire life, I wanted to support local businesses, so I visited Sinclairs, a nearby jeweller, to explore a few options. After discussions with the owner, we decided that a bespoke engagement ring would be a great choice. I was informed that a custom-made ring would typically cost more but allow me to get exactly what I wanted. We agreed on a total price of £15,000.  My wife had been very specific about her preferences—a large emerald surrounded by clustered diamonds. I trusted Sinclairs to deliver a well-crafted, high-quality ring. Everything progressed on schedule, and after a few visits, the owner had sourced the emerald and begun designing the structure of the ring.  Unfortunately, when I was shown the finished product, the casing for the emerald and diamonds had silver parts that looked almost like spray paint on the clasp. While this was eventually corrected, the ring still didn’t look perfect. I felt that the craftsmanship wasn't up to standard. Despite giving Sinclairs additional time to resolve the issues, my wife and I traveled to Colombia, where she fell in love with a pre-made ring at a store we visited. To make a long story short, we ended up buying that ring, which became her engagement ring.  Upon returning to London, I honoured the agreed price for the ring from Sinclairs and asked if they would consider buying it back at a discount. There was reluctance on their part, which made me suspicious. In the end, we agreed to display the ring in their shop window in an attempt to sell it. I would have accepted half the price £8,000, but Sinclairs were unable to sell it, and they still didn’t want to buy it back. This raised further concerns for me, especially considering the amount I paid for the ring and the price I was willing to resell it for. I began to wonder if I had been misled about the ring's actual value.  After an entire year with no interest from Sinclairs or their customers, I decided to take the ring to other jewellers, including those in Hatton Garden. This brings me to the present day: after visiting over 20 jewellers, the highest offer I’ve received for the ring is £3,500—far lower than the £15,000 I paid for it.  Unfortunately, I feel deceived by this experience and regret my decision. I’m writing this review to caution others about commissioning a bespoke engagement ring and, more specifically, to warn against using Sinclairs. I don’t normally write reviews like this for small local businesses, but in this case, I felt compelled to share my experience.
