Wow! This shop is really cool. Loads of retro stuff, from ornaments to sideboards and wardrobes. They have old comics in pristine condition, vinyl, toys, and lighting. It is a great source for TV and film props with the constant addition of stock. There is a loading bay right outside the front door, which is big enough for two Luton vans or one 7.5t/18t. The guys are really helpful and will bring large items out to the vehicle, and if needed, help out putting heavy items on the truck.
It is a great place to look for antiques and they have some beautiful items ranging from furniture to lighting to clothing to accessories... List goes on. The main point being the range and prices allow a buyer to find something within their range. It's beautiful the things sold here. I brought a friend and he bought a overhead industrial lamp which he loves. I bought some luggage and it's fantastic. Lots of things here are well chosen and sellers have a good eye.
It really is an Aladdins Cave of treasures. So good to have a wander around the Old Cinema. With so many inspirational finds, and I particularly like the Art Deco jewellery. Well worth a visit in my view! I believe film companies use property from this vast collection for their recordings.
This place is like a museum, worth spending some time inside for sure, even if you don't buy anything.
Absolutely brilliant place. So much to see and buy. Don't miss out when you're in Chiswick.
A very impressive, large space - everything from earrings to lamps, Scandinavian glass, bakelite telephones, Louis Vuitton trunks, furniture, Grace Jones vinyl, silver teapots...I didn't see any junk! Everything was labelled correctly - they've done their research. Worth the trek out to Chiswick.
An formidable assembly of mostly 20th.century furniture, decorative arts, lighting, ancillary paraphernalia and costume jewellery. An impressive selection of Art Deco and related items here. Astutely displayed often in meticulously stage-crafted settings where the retro, repro and the real are cunningly juxtaposed to good effect. A finger on the pulse evinces prevailing contemporary taste and trends. Prices flitter about the upscale side of realistic. Bargains scarce but this be no criticism as the concept and curation is admirable.
I love this place. I remember when it still resembled an old cinema interior back in the 60 /70s. Fantastic place.
Interesting set up which is essentially a compact modern antiques market. Much bigger than what it looks like from the outside. Full of lovely items mainly from the 20th century. Furniture, pictures, lamps and any other home furniture type items that you would expect and many others that will surprise you. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.
I love Art Deco so this place was great for wondering around. Very tempted to buy several items.
